What is the proper way to time travel for mass bank interest gains because it's not working

Well, interest is given on the first of every month. With 8,000,000 bells in the bank, I earn about 44,000 bells in interest per month, so to get the full 99,999 I would have to travel 3 months in the future. If you don't have nearly that much (or much more, idk), the amount of time you need to travel in the future will be much more or less.

20 years should work. I didn't get on for a year and I had a lot of interest that had piled up. Not sure what happens with the update tho

You can only get 99,999 bells maximum in interest at one time. If you travel 1 year, you'll probably get 99,999. If you travel 20 years, you'll still get 99,999 because the game will only give you one set of interest. I wish it stacked, but it doesn't.

Edit: I could be wrong judging by the above post? This is the way it was in Wild World though!

I think the above is correct since I travelled straight to 2050 and only got one set of 99999 interest

Yeah it really sucks that there's a limit. Like I suggested, you could work out your monthly interest gain and then multiply that by however many months it takes to reach 99,999 and just travel forward that far each time. IDK. It's lucrative but time-consuming.

That would suck if they got rid of the interest trick with the update.
