So I used to time travel a lot when I restarted my town, then after a while I stopped doing it because I was scared of villagers moving out.. However recently, I randomly noticed that my date was set in 2014 instead of 2015. This is really bugging me for some reason, and I really want to change the year.

Basically, my question is, is there a way to prevent villagers from moving out? I saw this: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/997811-animal-crossing-new-leaf/66800922 as I was searching for answers but I'm wondering if that would work for time traveling a year ahead?

Wait for someone to ping you to move, then Save and quit and TT forward a year.

If you're really paranoid, make a new character and check all your animals' homes to ensure nobody's boxed~

The reason this works is because the game needs a day to "process" your denying of the move. By TTing forward a year, your game stays in that "processing" state until the next time you play. Even a year later~

Also I highly suggest enabling the Beautiful Town Ordinance before doing this unless you want lots of weeds and don't have flowers to worry about owo
