I've been time traveling a lot trying to cycle villagers out ended up in May. Then I decided to tt back to my normal time and day and all the villagers acted like they haven't seen me in 7 months and my mayor's hair is all messed up too.. Thankfully no one moved out but the question is, did they change the time traveling in the new update? Because I thought time traveling backwards only ever counted as one day no matter how far back you went...

Yeah that is really strange. Did you double-check that you changed the year when you TT'd forward to May? So like, if you were originally in December 2017, did you only change the month to May, or did you also change the year to 2018? That's the only reason I can think of why going from May BACK to December would count for more than 1 day - maybe you actually went from 2017 May to 2017 December?
In any case really lucky no one moved out!
