Time traveling and hot items

If I tt forward one day and then go back to today will the hot items change? The store items don't but I'm not sure about the hot items. I have pile of cash as a hot item today but I don't have the bell boom ordinance. I want to turn on bell boom, go forward one day to activate it and then back to today to sell the pile of cash(otherwise you lose money so not worth it). Thanks

Yes, I believe so. What I did was keep Bell Boom on. I am waiting for the Pile of Cash item. I saw a video that if it is the hot item of the day, the player can get a significant profit since the amount of cash used to craft the Pile of Cash doesn't change.

I know this is an older post, but just wanted to confirm that when you time travel back one day to change the Ordinance to the Bells one, it does indeed reset the Hot Items of the day. I was extremely disappointed when I figured that out. However, lo and behold today (the following day) it popped up as a Hot Item again for me. I expected to wait months to see it again. Needless to say I'm going to pay off my house upgrade lol.
