So, I jumped ahead one day to get a villager in boxes off the island and then invited another villager from someone else's island to come live on mine. They agreed to come over and their house is being started on my island.

NOW, I am totally paranoid that I will go back to the regular time and lose the new villager! Anyone have experience with this?

Like Bluebellie siad, dont go back in time yet or your new villager might end up in the same house as the old one. tt forward one day at a time until the new villager can go out and about, i mean that they are done unpacking their things. No need to worry, they wont disappear if you tt backwards but i heard that it could cause the glitch i mentioned so just a heads up. It didnt happen to me personally so i dont know how likely it is to happen if you tt back in time before the moving process is done.

I've travelled back many times after inviting someone to my island and it should be fine. When you travel back, they should be in their house unpacking boxes. If you're still nervous, time travel forward a day to get them into your island, save, then go back to the present
