So I'm asking this myself lately, how many days/weeks/months have you spend on getting all of your dream villagers or did you spent to get those who you've now?
I've been busy cycling for over a 1/2 year and seem to not have a lot of luck, only 4 of my Dream Villagers are in my town. I use this cycling guide: http://animalcrossingus.tumblr.com/post/83026695759/villager-movement-guide-v1-0.
The guide works perfectly for me, but apparently 1/2 hours a day isn't enough to get more than 4 Dreamies after a 1/2 year? I also check the campsite everyday for some luck. Around an average of 4 villagers move out and in every day. (Iggly moved in so many god damn times, I ab-so-lu-te-ly hate him:mad:)
Maybe you got some tips for me from how you've done it (so far).

If you can get on average 4 villagers to move in and out every day then there must be nothing wrong with your cycling.

On my main town Village I'm at 9/10 dreamies after looking for them since around mid-January, but 5 of them had been either starter villagers or had moved in on the 2nd, 4th and 6th days of playing. They were all villagers I didn't think much of before starting the game but gotten attached to eventually.

My second town Lakesong I got about 2 weeks ago and am at 8/10 at the moment. I had planned out who I had wanted in that town before buying the game and none of my first 9 natural move ins caught my eye.

The main thing imo is luck and being online at the right time. It's extremely unlikely you'll get your dreamies via natural move in, and even if you reset there'll be a very slim chance so your best bet would be to trade with other people. For example a few hours after I obtained 100% approval in Lakesong and could invite villagers in for the first time, someone was giving one of my dreamies away for free.

Keep stalking the trading board! Good luck :)

Thanks for your reply. I indeed follow the Trading place, here and on Reddit. But I always seem to be to late or none of my dreamies is on auction. Except Marshal but I'm not yet a billionaire on AC NL.

I was able to get most of my top tier favs through the trading board! Was Lucky enough that Lucky (lol) was the random move-in I got at some point. Lolly came right after him. Tangy was a villager I was particularly fond of but let go of to make room for O'Hare. The TT-ing to in-boxes, move in/out days were well worth it. Haven't had much luck with coming across my lower tier favorites though.

I usually don't TT more than a couple of days forward (and then back to take me to the original time again)- it's just a little slower and slightly more tedious, I think and I've been playing since January 17th of this year! Just recently, my main concern had been making space for dream villagers to move in through setting up trades ; v ; and I've been 90% successful getting a villager out when I needed them to, lol. But we'll see now that I'm cycling, since I think things are about to speed up in this town once I get my 2nd copy of the game to play normally.

Hmm yeah, I also only TT for getting my dream villagers, otherwise I wouldn't do it either.

uhh I restarted my town and got one of my Dreamies, Francine as a starter xD then 1 moved in as a next random (Carmen andgenjibuthemovedoutsobssss), Beau moved in from campsite. Then like in a month I got the rest through here on the trade boards.
I tt by like 4 days each and talk to everyone a few times during that. if I don't here about anyone I go through 1 more day and try again ;O so many people wouldnt move... ; v ; pinkydivanibblesrodneyrolfshari just stalk the boards as mucchhhh as you can basically

It took a couple of months for me to get all 8 hamsters in my town.

Only took about 3 to 4 weeks to get 10 dog villagers in my new town.

I got all of them from the villager trade plaza. Thanks to all the people with cycling towns.

I've been playing ACNL since it launched and I started collecting my dreamies the winter after I got the game and am still missing two if that's any indication. Though in my defense I have one of them in my second town waiting for space. I got stuck with Freckles for 8 months because she wouldn't leave. I'm sure once I get room it won't be long until I get my last two. :) For my other town I've got half of them (not including Marshal in my main who is waiting to be transferred). If I hadn't left my second town copy at my apartment when I came home for Spring Break I probably could have picked up another one this week, but life happens. (*Note almost all of my dreamies have been obtained through online trades with the exception of Pango who has been there from the beginning)

It took me a just over a month to get 6 of mine, and I had Mira as a starting villager, and someone has Skye reserved for me. So I just need Benjamin, and idk about my last one. I'm debating on Lyman and Cranston, or I might even switch out Olivia who I have for Mint but idk. Anyway, I got about 1 dreamy a week, 7/13, not counting Skye who I have reserved, maybe I'm just lucky.

Haha thank you:-) but im really scared of loosing them now...i have to make sure to talk to them everyday and keep them happy so that i dont get any unexpected surprises at the end of the day or else i will be so devasted:-(

I adopted all 10 of my doggies in just 5 days. Most of them came from cyclers here, a few from another site.

I'm at 9/10 dreamies, and I've had this town since November 23, 2014. Of course, I'm addicted to TTing so it's probably been about 2 years in game.
