When a villager asks you to bury their time capsules somewhere, they make you dig it back up again, right?

Now I was wondering...
If a villager has asked you to put a time capsule somewhere, and between the period where it is gone and appear again, would that villager move?

Willow asked me to dig her's today, and then I gave it to her. However I have been trying to get her out by getting my other character to introduce herself then ignore her for a week. Tangy has pinged me instead yesterday.

What? They can mail you about the capsule well after they moved away? If yes, that's intriguing. I remember digging up a capsule well after a villager moved away, but do not recall how much time had elapsed. I never received a letter to dig it up. Maybe friendship level would affect a notification, or maybe the fact I dug it up negated an upcoming letter?

If it really so, then that's very sweet of them! I will not let anyone in my town move out but if someone from the past send me a letter about this, I will miss them so dearly despite I let them off or not.

Haha I didn't know either so I was really surprised! I'd completely forgotten about the time capsule too. Luckily I knew where to find it since I always used to bury them next to their houses. There was a really sweet note in it, it made me miss her even though I was glad she left lol.

Bruce did that to me. The only sucky thing is you can't save them in the post office so if you want to keep it (cause I'm nostalgic and save goodbye letters and stuff like that) it has to sit in your letter inventory.

It was weird finding Bob's time capsule a few months after he left. I didn't notice it until Midge left a month back. I think the capsule from from February, so it felt weird.

They can move, but if they do, they'll sometimes send you a letter saying you can dig it back up and keep it.

I recommend burying them in a spot you can remember easily, like marking it in some way would work. The beach sounds like a good place since you can't build anything on it (I think it's possible for villagers to move on top of time capsules, isn't it?).

Yes they can move out! I buried Spork's capsuke and then he moved out. About 2 weeks later he mailed me asking me to dig it up and keep what was inside!
