Time capsule missing

Yesterday I buried the time capsule next to the villager's house and today it's gone.

No one comes to my town.

The only thing I noticed flowers appeared where I buried the time capsule.

Does anyone know if the time capsule could be under the flowers?

I do not want to pull out the flowers.

I think it disappears until the day the animal asks you to dig it up again.

It disappears to prevent you digging it up too early. After a while, the villager that asked you to bury it will ask you to dig it up again and bring it back to them! When they do, the dig spot where you buried the time capsule will show up again!

Time capsules reappear when the villager asks for you to dig it back up. If you planted something or placed a pattern where the time capsule was, it will move to the next closest free spot.

Oh, thank goodness! I was playing time bomb with my friends and I thought they buried it up...
No wonder I thought my house expanded over my capsule in a convenient place (next to my home)...

I have had 2 villagers ask me to plant time capsules and both have been shirts too!
