So, Tiffany just said she wants to move on the 17th. My 3DS is closed beside me. I'm not sure whether I should let her go or not. Help. I'm struggling.

I'd say you should let Tiffany go. From my experiences, if I don't let go of a villager I'm not crazy about, I would regret that more rather than letting them move out. Sure, it's hard seeing her move out, but by doing so, you have more of a chance to get a villager you like better.

I made up my mind. Tiffany will be moving. It's kind of sad, because when I talked to her after, she said the town was looking particularly stunning. And she showed me the first letter I ever sent her.

if you feel sad about it, try to get her to a good home! then maybe you can visit her if you ever find yourself missing her...

Personally although it is your decision and I don't shame you for it, this is just my opinion. I'm a Snooty villager enthusiast, although Tiffany is an OKAY villager, what you should have done was been patient and wait for an even better one to roll in. There are 47 (taking a guess) Snooty villagers in New Leaf, don't let the campsites pressure you in making a decision you'll regret later on. Despite having Tiffany, keep hunting for those amazing Snooty villagers, best of luck. (c:

Usually whenever I have to think about a villager moving, that means it's time to let them go.
For example if Marshal pinged me I wouldn't have to think for a second. Sorry cutie, you're staying forever! but if you have to think about it, then it's kind of obvious you don't want them to stay forever, imo.

As Vertigo said, if anything I would regret letting them stay then realizing later on I should've let them leave.

also if it helps you'll see her on Main st for quite a longggg time. c:

I understand your feelings! I was in the same position as you, Gwen pinged me to move, I had her since the beginning...I didn't know what to do. But I wanted to meet new villagers too! So, I let her go. Sent her a nice goodbye letter. Then, the day her house was not there anymore, I received a letter from her telling me how she will always remember me as her best friend, and sending me her pic. The feeling of sadness was real that day!

Just think about how you'll be able to replace her with a villager you won't have to think about letting move or not! I've found it difficult to let villagers go too, but if you adopt them out to people who want her more than you do then you're making someone else happy as well.

it seems like a good idea to let them go, they will always appear in your main street every now and then and it welcomes for more villagers to live on your town!
