I know some people only have tier ones in their town, so...

Do you prefer Upper Tiers or lower tiers?

If the person actually likes all the Tier 1 villagers and takes them by taste then Yay

If the person wants to follow trends and just pick the most popular my default then Nay

I don't care. I have no preference. Even if you like villagers soley because of their popularity fine. Play the game how you want.

well, most tier 1's were my dreamies, all of which have been obtained and i love them because theyre so adorable, but i think that if someone loves their toen as much as i love mine without have tier 1 villagers, then their town is just as good!

what i like in a town anyway is more its layout and decoration, not the villagers. villagers are objective - if you love them, thats all that matters.

a lot of lower tier villagers are ugly and sometimes if a villager isnt aesthetically pleasing... i just... automatically go yuck and try to move them out.

i mean, it sounds mean, but can you blame me?

I guess my problem with the high tier towns is that it's usually little kids who try to get the "popular" villagers. If it's just a goal for bragging rights I totally get that it could be fun to compete with friends. I definitely did this with pokemon when I was little XD

However I think that most of the time it's actually a case of their opinions being influenced by the list. I don't personally believe that it's just a coincidence that every kid happens to like the same 10 villagers out of over 300.

So in short - no. Tier 1 towns make me kind of sad because I like to see a person's real personality in their town. Instead I'm seeing the exact same town over and over.

But like I said in another thread, I'm being a little hypocritical because I've made tens of millions of bells selling tier 1s :P

Each to their own. I won't judge them if they don't judge me for having a town full of tier-fivers xD

If someone likes their villagers and they all happen to be tier one villagers, I'm completely fine with their decision. But PERSONALLY I try to get a few top tier villagers myself because most of the lower tier villagers are pretty nasty looking to me lol.

If the entire town is Tier 1, then it seems like the person is just going by popularity. I like to see a few lower tier villagers mixed in when I visit towns to see some originality.

I like a mix of tiers. In my main town my two favorites are Lolly and Limberg. Lolly started in my town and is still there. She was in one of my older games so I was happy to see her. Limberg I never met and wasn't excited at first. Once I got to know him he showed his softer side. He's the villager that looks out for the girl players. Treats them like he they were his daughters.

It's everyone game and they can have who they like. The only thing I find odd is dreaming towns with the same 10 villagers. One of the reasons why I like the dream suite is to meet new villagers.

I'm more for originality. Imo having villagers you don't see everyday adds some character to your town that you don't find in the stereotypical Beau-Marshal-Fang-Lolly-Zucker-Merengue lineup. A lot of times it's due to the popularity that kids have T1s and that's what I usually assume, but if you legit like those types, great.

And if you can pull off having T1s and then a really creative town you put your heart into, then good on you :)

When I visit a Dream Address I like to see villagers I don't see very often. It makes for a much more enjoyable visit.

I like just as many upper tiers as I do lower tiers I think. I just pick villagers I like. I only look at the tier list if I'm sell a villager just to know how to price them.

My town has 7 Tier 1's but it's because they are my favorite villagers of their particular personality type. I gravitate the most to the cute/pretty villagers because I have a cute/pretty themed town. Even if they weren't popular I would still want them because they fit my town. And I chose Marshal because I needed a smug and he's the only one that doesn't creep me out .-.

I do not give a flying hippo about tiers. The only thing that bothers me about them is their price when trying to get one here.

Yeah basically what bluepikachu said and also TBT is one part of the community, a lot of the villagers I see here being tier 3 are tier 1 elsewhere. I really don't know why people care about them so much, it's not like other games were tiers have competitive value.. this games tiers just seem exploitative and judgemental. But if people wanna use them, go ahead, I don't care for it is all and doesn't affect my opinion on a another persons town.

I like visiting dream towns that have villagers I'm not used to seeing, but It doesn't bother me if they're all tier 1. People can have whoever they want. It doesn't affect me, so I really don't care.

I like towns where there's lower tiers of villagers so it shows originality and not just following trends. I personally have 1 or 2 tier 1 villagers, and then the rest are lower.

I like towns where people love their villagers. Tier 1, tier 5, as long as all the villagers are treated with care (digging holes around unwanted villagers is a bit... mean) and have nice yards/landscaping, it's a great town to me.

I like villagers by how they look and their personalities. It's the reason why I don't have any uchis or jocks and why I was dumb enough to get 4 normals in my first town.

I had already gotten Marshal, Flurry, Ruby, and Stitches in my first town BEFORE joining this forum. Got Marshal from camp after resetting for days, Flurry, Ruby, and Stitches from villager resetting. After joining the forum, I found out my opinions on who I wanted were mainstream. I was cool with it though; it makes it easier for me to get them.
