Thunderstorms?

Anyone had any thunderstorms in their island? I really miss the thunderstorms in New leaf. I have yet to have any on my island. I've had really rainy days, but nothing as far as lightning and thunder. I'm bummed

i've had quite a few with thunder and lightning! definitely not very common, but they still pop up on occasion. :~)

I've had 2 thunderstorms on the same day!
One on my own island and one on a nmt island.

yep! I absolutely love the thunderstorms. like pup said, they're not as common as heavy rain but they're there. one of my favourite weathers :,)

They happen, but definitely have higher probability in summer months like July and August for the Northern hemi

I had my second thunderstorm in the game yesterday! I wish they were more common and lasted longer (mine seemed to only last 30 mins). They are super cool, I hope I get another again soon!

Am I missing something here? All the tool seems to do is show when heavy rain occurs? Not every heavy rain occurrence will be a thunderstorm. Had a bunch of heavy rain hours yesterday and didn't see a thunderstorm.

I have thunderstorms a lot. Having one now, actually. No meteors, lots of storms.

I have been trying to find my weather seed here for a while now. It kept being wrong, and I finally figured out that I can't tell the difference between cloudy and rain clouds, or rain and heavy rain . So I'm trying it again, but only putting in data when I'm absolutely sure which it is. Just a heads up in case anyone has tried it without success, lol.

I've only seen 1 thunderstorm since March 20. Ninji's weather tool doesn't even know how they work, so sadly I don't know when my next one will be. If I TT back to a day I had a thunderstorm, it's there again, so it is tied to the weather seed at least, and not totally random.

That only shows when it'll rain. It doesn't include thunderstorms

I have been trying to find my weather seed here for a while now. If unsure, always use one of these options. You can never go wrong.

Yeah, the first time I had a thunderstorm I was sat open-mouthed at how cool it looked!

The lighting in this game is lovely at times.

I've seen three so far! I prefer rain over sunshine but thunderstorms are definitely my favourite weather form, the effects are amazing and I love some of the extra dialogue that your villagers will give you too.

Great timing with the creation of this thread! I actually experienced my first thunderstorm today on my island and it gave me goosebumps! The thunder sounds so real and feels like as if I was in it. And the visuals of lightning really gets me! I've also experienced some new dialogue from my villagers too.
