Thunderstorms?

Hi there! Last year when I played New Leaf in June I remember having Thunderstorms every 3rd day or so. I've played New Leaf almost everyday since May but I've only seen two. I know May and June are the rainy season so they're common too. I'm kind of disappointed because I love thunderstorms. (where I live we only have 2 or 3 a year in real life, so I got my fix with Animal Crossing.) My question is: do thunderstorms occur outside of May and June? Thanks

Mid-June-July 1st is the "rainy season" which just means it rains more frequently than any other time so you'd be more likely to experience a thunderstorm during that time. There's no set amount of thunderstorms you get per period it's just random. I've only had one thunderstorm this season. I find them kind of annoying in game especially when I'm landscaping because everything looks dark and I want to see the work I've done in the light of day.

I'm at current date (end of June going into July), and I had a thunderstorm all afternoon. (unfortunately couldn't catch the coelacanth though)

You get a lot of thunderstorms during June and July. I had one just yesterday.

What everyone else has said, June and July. Funny thing I've noticed in my game is that when I do get a thunderstorm, they seem to happen early in the morning. I love it when they happen though, in game and in real life.
