Honestly, just the start up of the new island. Wanted to start a new island for the new year and since the last time I played this game I've gotten married irl, I have the option to use my husbands switch for a new one. Though, I'll probably transfer it to mine, or the hypothetical Switch 2 I wanna get us, since his Switch is well... I don't understand how, but it can't hold any charge. Also, a lot of my screenshots were apparently not taken since his button is dodgy. It is what it is I suppose.

Starting map looks like this! Very happy with the two south rivers. Native fruit is peaches (and I think my sister fruit is cherries?) and the native flower is hyacinths (sister flower, mums). Thought the native flower was tulips at first and was a bit unimpressed, much happier with the hyacinths it turned out to be!

Pashmina and Buck is the villagers that came with me on this adventure, and I don't really mind either too much. I had Buck for awhile in ACNL, so I have a soft spot for his angry eyes. Speaking of villagers, Tom Nook wanted me to build some more plots, so went on a few mystery tours and found Pate and Coco, who will join us soon! Coco is the favourite of someone I used to be close to, so I'm not able to say no to her and Pate well... It feels endearing to have my very nervous looking duck and my very angry horse! I hope they become good friends.

Surprisingly though, the first plot was not sold to either of these two, but to Sherb! I suspect he found his way in since I purchased some items. Pleasant surprise, he's cute. Aside that, we all know how the start goes. Farmed some nook miles, got the shop and museum up, now we're just waiting for the new people!

Some other tid bits:

Had an awful lot of ceremonies, not sure why Pashmina is socially distancing in all of them though...

Might be because I stole this bug right in front of her!

Tried very hard to make a Snowman, but unfortunately I flew too close to the sun with his intended body. Poor guy.

Pate arrived! Bit surprised she was first, as she was not the first sold plot, but I guess the move-in order is random?
2026010609083100_c.jpg

Somehow, by sheer dumb luck, I caught a tuna? I thought it was the sea bass I needed for my nook miles! I mean I'll take it, but, I tried for ages to catch it on my previous island. Aside that, pretty much just cleared away all the stuff outside my museum that I had been to lazy to donate, Harvey came over to try and make me visit his island, which I might since I've never done that, and I spent too much money on rugs and walls from everyone's favourite travelling merchant.

7th was a particularly slow day, only notable thing was the arrival of Coco. Leif also made his first appearance, so I got to
plant some wheat.

8th marked the arrival of Sherb! Gulliver also came over and immediately insulted me:

Our new fancy resident hall was built! And brought everyone's favourite helper along with it, Isabelle! It's nothing short of a wonder that Tom Nook did it by himself, getting all the materials and everything as the first thing that happened afterwards was him wanting me to build a campsite!

I put it next to the store for now, though, I will eventually move things around. Same with the poor villagers, who all will be relocated to the beach as I terraform and consider where to put them

We got our campsite up and running! Klaus was our first visitor, so he was invited to join the rest of us. He obviously wanted to. He's one of the funnier villagers to me. Obviously Roman designed, but his name and catchphrase is German?! Is he secretly just a fanboy of the Roman empire?

Mabel had heard from a certain racoon that I love finding places for people to live... So she wanted me to find a place for her to put the tailor shop! I put it, much like the camping tent, next to Nooks Cranny. Might be cute actually, to have a little shopping street there in the future? Shame that the roost is confined to the museum.

Some other moments of these days:
2026011010301100_c.jpg

Pate teaching me how to yawn, though, she looks almost exactly like normal to me...

2026011109342900_c.jpg

My plan to get ants worked! Now I just need it to also spawn me a fly so I no longer have to have a rotten turnip...

Specifically K.K Slider to come visit us. And you know what that means, time for me to improve the image of our island so K.K will want to come to our humble isle.

To start it all off, I decided to go find villagers until I got 10, so upon a few travels, I wound up inviting Octavian, Audie, Zucker and Vesta. Which is all good, but it means I have one too many pairs, and no snooty villager. Considering inviting Mineru to stay, but that means kicking someone out and that feels mean...

In fact, Coco already asked, but I did not have to heart to let her leave just yet. It feels like we've barely gotten to know each other still!

In other happenings, Able sister opened on the 13th, and I started trying to breed hybrids, focusing on purple hyacinths and pink mums for now. I usually start with roses, since I love the blue roses and they are a PAIN IN THE ASS to get. Buuuuut no one has sold me any rose seeds yet, neither Leif nor the Nooklings have ever had them in stock, so I guess it have to wait for now!

Anyway, main event of the day was Sherb's birthday! Me and Audie attended, and I gave him a blue knit hat. I would've thought he was closer to some other villagers since Audie just arrived, but hey, as long as he's happy, it's all good!

lmao poor Buck being out yogad like that

Uh... I know this is an island, but... It really doesn't feel safe that you guys have decided to light a bonfire right outside the one properly structurally sound building. Couldn't we have done it literally anywhere else...?

Also, very happy I lucked out and got a meteor shower! It was a small one so I didn't get to wish on many stars at all, but, it did mean Celeste came over again so I didn't miss getting the Capricorn DIY. Considering it's the last day for it, I really thought I'd have to wait until next year.

Gotta be honest, we more or less speed ran these days, playing most of them for like 20 mins here and there to catch up with the current date. So there isn't too much to say about them. Leif finally came over and sold me roses on the 29th, so I can start on breeding blue ones. Took them long enough to come over!

Some moments from these days though:

2026012111534600_c.jpg

These random blue hyacinths I can't use to make purple ones spawning... Game's taking the piss...
2026012507261300_c.jpg

At least I also got some pink mums!

2026012211505800_c.jpg

Uh... I'm not sure I want a garbage can with STRONG vibes to be honest with you...
But everything for K.K! I guess...

Pate sold me her broom and dustpan because she needed to save money, which is fine... But then she immediately really really needed to purchase my sea bass. Which, sure, I guess. I'll take my 600 bells back!

Audie... Audie no, why do you do me like that. I needed to remove that one. Go sit somewhere else!

Cheri visited the campsite today! I mistook her for the snooty villager and convinced her to stay, and she in turn convinced Zucker to move out. I don't mind him going too much, I had two lazy villagers. That said... Now I have three peppy ones, maybe one of them will want to move soon? Or I just end up with an overly energetic island, full of easily excitable villagers. That said, I don't mind too much, peppy villagers tend to be some of my favourites.

2026020421221000_c.jpg

Aside that, hit three star today! I did not really expect that, my island is still full of weeds on the upper level. Almost wish I hadn't hit it, wanted to do a couple of more things before the "main" game starts, but hey, it's not like the game locks you out of anything, just feels slightly more overwhelming. In any case, tomorrow K.K will finally play for us and then I can start terraforming.

Nook's Cranny was also closed today since they upgraded, so huge day for Thule tomorrow with them reopening as well.
