Having to deny a move request, then do it the next day, and again a 3rd day straight starts to make me feel annoyed. It doesn't happen a lot, but it's also what helps keep me coming back. It is starting to feel a bit more stressful than Wild World was though. After I locked them all in there I could just browse the shops, talk to Sable, etc everyday.

Now, I feel like I HAVE to talk to everyone to get the scoop if anyone's thinking of moving, make sure all outside villagers tag me if it's not brought up, THEN I can go browse the shops, and see what's going on. It's keeping my daily play in the hours range too unless I'm lucky and the first I see says the old, hey, guess what, I'm moving! This is all because I want to keep the same 10 I've had since October- of 2013! I can't risk that whole deny the move and you're good to go forever stuff, I'm too attached to everyone I don't want to risk it.

Although, this is making me wonder if this will possibly cause me to play daily over a decade after starting. Nearly at 3 years of daily play now, which has only been possible because of the freedom of a handheld, but still, this is bringing me back everyday just to make sure everyone stays, so when I get 3 in a row like the last 3 days, it starts to make me feel like this is more of a chore and less a fun game, because I don't want one of my little pixel friends to move away, I've grown so fond of them!!

New Leaf may give you a 5 day notice, but I really, REALLY wish there was a way to lock them in like Wild World had, which is looking more and more like that was a programming oversight given how it doesn't work in City Folk either. Anyone else getting a bit stressed feeling the urgency to play due to how attached you are to your villagers? I know I can't possibly be alone in my attachment, they wiggle their way into your heart!

Yep, this post is definitely me in a post described. Except I have to check two towns everyday as one holds my dreamies and the other has some of my dreamies and non-dreamies. So I always have to make sure that I deny any of my dreamies that try to move out in my main town, not only that try to make space for my dreamies incase they randomly move out from the second town and try to get PWP suggestions for the day, which is such a pain and can take hours. Before I can even think about checking my shops and the second cartridge, which I have to keep making sure that absolutely nobody moves out without my knowing so, which can also take ages since there's 10 villagers in the second cartridge whereas my other has 9, and they aren't always outside simultaneously so I have to go look for them to make sure they aren't moving.

Seems like I have more people trying to move out as well! I had two in two days. And it seems they are pinging every 2-4 days. It is very annoying, especially when you have five towns.

I sure do miss the days when I could lock in a villager & they would never even think of leaving. NL is way more stressful about keeping dreamies than a game should be. It should not be this hard to keep the ones I want to keep.

I dont worry about move outs every day. I do make sure at least every third day that I've either obtained a move-out denial, or one of the non-moving rumors that confirms nobody is thinking of moving. Most of the time, the above objectives can be achieved through normal social interaction with the villagers and the effort required is minimal. My advice is not to stress about it every day.

I worry about it sometimes because I don't always get to play everyday, and when you pay a lot of IGB or TBT for a villager and they're your dreamie it would be devastating to just have them move out >_< I only have 4 of my dreamies, but all of them are like my babies <3

can villagers deny staying? I ask this because if you tell them to move out, there is a chance they might say never mind and stay.

I do check mine everyday....I tend to get a mover either every other day or every 3 days. But on rare occasions I did get one two days running. It's a really difficult part of this game, I keep saying I wish we could have more control over who is moving in/out.
I have all my dreamies right now and I really don't think I'd want to continue playing if I lost any of them, so I do feel it necessary to play daily and run around in front of everybody several times in case I miss a ping.

I wish there was some kind of notice on the board at the front of town when somebody is leaving, you then at least have 5 days grace to decide if we want to keep a villager or not.
That would be a slight impovement on what we have now.

I actually lost Ed who was one of my first move ins because I didn't play for just a few days. He must have been thinking about moving and because I didn't check and then stopped playing by the time I came back he was in boxes :(
