Thoughts on Sanrio villagers?

For as much as I love sanrio stuff I'm just not that into any of the villagers. I love the clothes and furniture sets, but I wouldn't put any of them on my island.

Chai and Étoile are precious. I wish Hello Kitty had a cat villager or at least one not super ugly. I feel like she deserves better than Rilla.

I still haven't been able to get Etoile yet I either have to craft something or play a game and even if I win she still says she will think about moving.

I think I'm still at the same point as when I first saw them. I like them, but not enough to pay out for the cards. I'm not even sure I'd invite many of them back to my island if they were free, really.
