Hi all,

I just created a new path pattern for my town and was wondering what you thought of it? This is the first design I have ever done from scratch and any advice would be appreciated. I've also never used a clover path in my town before so any tips and tricks to have a fancy clover path would be much appreciated :D

I think it's very lovely, but I'd try and match the grass color of the stone to look a tiny bit more like the in game grass. I just have like, color matching issues though, it really doesn't look bad. Also, once you make it the color you want, save it with Mable, so you can just swap it out when the grass changes :)

I have the same problem, it's really hard to match the color of the grass though unless you completely nail the pattern that the grass has :( Even the patterns that are so amazingly well made have a little bit of color matching issues.

On topic, I think your path looks pretty good! :) I like making my own paths as well, I've just been too lazy to attempt any recently haha. Good job!

I love it :) well done on doing such a great pattern! I wouldn't worry too much about the grass having to match. One of my paths has a green grassy border and I won't be changing them all when the seasons change. Really like stepping stone paths :)

the little details on the stones are really nice, they make the stones look nice and realistic to a certain degree.
the grass colour could use a small bit of tweaking imo, but other than that it looks very good.

Thanks for all the feedback. I found it really difficult to get the green colour right for the grass at the moment but I think I will play around with it tonight when I get home. I think as the seasons change I will change the border grass colour and hopefully it will fit in more naturally, especially when the oranges of autumn come out to play soon.

they look really nice. I'm a fan of QR/clovers paths (I have some myself) and it's very hard to match the exact color of the grass, so overall you did a really good job.

They look really good! I agree about the grass bit like everyone else too, though.

Nice taste! I also have clover-stepping stone path in my town. Besides from the grass colour which mentioned before, I don't see anything bad looking. But don't you think 3 rows of path is a bit too thick? Your town would be much greener with just two. It could be just different personal tastes ofc.

Looks awesome! Nice job!

I wonder what I'm gonna do for MY path... xP

Thanks for the reply and I've been thinking this today too. I only have it three wide for the path between my Train Station and Town Plaza, everywhere else is just 2/1 wide paths. Maybe I should make a different style path on a sub-character for this stretch of path?

If you check out Bumbury the beautiful's path tutorial she actually lays out which colors on the palette match best with the grass patterns during any given season.

Here is the updated path which I think fixes most of the issues with the grass being too bright, tell me what you think. I've also put this in my original post!

Definitely looks a lot better although I can't tell if it's because it's night in your town :p in any case, making your own pattern is respectable and I think it looks good.
