I didn't use powersaves. It took about seven months to get my catalog complete in my first town. I did time travel a bit. I also got online and bought rare items from other players that I wouldn't have been able to get on my own. I love breeding my own hybrids. I end up with so much that I end up giving a ton away.
I once had a town like that, but I took a hiatus and when I came back, it was destroyed ;-; I did fix it but a few months later I restarted. My username is no longer accurate xD
Nope, I did it all on my own. As a matter of fact, I deleted a character, forgetting they had all the tile patterns and lost everything. Went back, did it again and my town turned out even better the second time around. Nothing wrong with a little hard work
Never used a powersave, never needed to. I just joined multiple sites and managed to get more than I needed twice over.
Got all hybrids and bushes within a couple of months, never had much luck with breeding my own so I bought bulk.
I have loads of items which have all come from trading, it didn't take very long, just had to be super quick for the rarer stuff
I used a combination, since I'm pretty impatient when it comes to getting overseas DLC items.
And maybe it's considered cheating, I dunno, but I have multiple towns and I used ALL of them to breed all of the roses I needed to landscape Bunifrey.
No, never used any power saves or did any duping. Just did a looooot of trading/growing. Took around a year? 2 years? To get to the state that it was when I uploaded the dream. Got tired of all pink in my town though plus all the new items and villagers are so cute so I'm completely redoing my town though I'm not gonna update my dream until I'm finished.
In Feldspar, I just made hybrid breeding a priority for months. I covered my town in grids of flowers. Eventually, I had enough hybrids in enough colors (and enough saved common flowers, since I like those too) that I could line my paths with the color patterns I wanted. Lots of time and work, but I'm so glad I did it myself. I wouldn't feel nearly as satisfied with my town if I'd just bought the flowers online right away.
I wanna say my town is fairly decorated, not super decorated. And if someone asked me how it was decorated, I'd tell them that the majority of my town is trees, paths, and flowers. LOTS of trees, flowers, and paths. I have put trees almost everywhere that I could, and flowers line every piece of path where I can fit them, and flowers line every house and building, and most large pwps. I didn't hack or powersave or anything. I did it all myself, with the help of other players. I've had my town since 2015, but I probably did the majority of my landscaping in a span of like 3 weeks. I did like 3-4 major landscaping days, and the rest of it was just touching up every day. Partially because with as many trees as I have, there were a few dead spots to work with. Places where trees cannot grow. I also have hundreds of white flowers in my town. It took me even longer to get my town the way it is, because I only needed one color of flower, and most of my flowers are one specific breed too. It really did take me weeks.
I wouldn't say any of mine are particularity "dream towns" or "decorated" but adding all my 10 past towns up I'd have a town full of resources. I've never used a power save and I don't even know what it is lol
I usually get all my landscaping stuff and items from people here! Mainly because it's pretty cheap and people don't scam ^^
though I'm not gonna update my dream until I'm finished.
