this might make zero sense, but

360 camera view may not be possible but why not be able to change the angle by at least 45 degrees? This happens sometimes when talking to your villagers and I've seen a couple of screenshots from Nintendo themselves when they were promoting the summer update. From what I've seen, it doesn't expose any areas that we're not supposed to see. But then again, we also gotta worry about outdoor furniture popping in as soon as they become visible.

It would be interesting, but yeah, probably wouldn't be good for reasons already shared. I kind of like the way the camera works in this game since it's kind of been this way most of the time throughout the series. I think Animal Crossing on the GameCube had the camera set at a specific top angle, and I think in Wild World is when the world became more like a cylinder shape giving you sort of a vanishing point. Plus, if Animal Crossing had a camera that could rotate 360°, it would break the illusion that people create with the furniture outside on their island, or any future land mass. I suppose that's a small price to pay, but still.

I wish it could. I also wish that we could have buildings facing in directions other than south, for aesthetic/design reasons.
