If you create a second character and don't use that character to talk to a villager for about a week, will that villager move? Will not introducing yourself to that villager force them to move?

I assume you mean using the second character to talk to every villager every day except for the one you want to move? Unfortunately, I no longer have the source, but I recall reading the claim that, so long as you login with the second character daily, talk to the other characters, but do not even introduce yourself to the villager you want to move, he will move within the week. Could be interesting to experiment with this premise.
