If the gates were open before you added the FC it usually doesn't work.

Not only that, but you can get wifi pool from other people visiting the town... not just from the town owner.

But I have 10 villagers.
I don't mind. =P

The last character I voided was Gabi, which was like 4/5 days ago. I tried not to void anyone for the past couple of in game days so that hopefully no one picks someone up~

If you hadn't wified with anyone, then the first person ((or if it was a group, one of them)) you wifi'd with would have gotten the void.
UNLESS they had 10 villagers. Which should have "reset" your pool. Meaning, Gabi was sent off into nothingness never to return or appear.

Someone voided Flora I think over a week in game days but never wifi'd with anyone. I was wanting to get a villager the next day ((they were picking up a villager from me)) so I made them go to my cycle town before visiting my town to pick up a villager.
Next day, Flora was in the Cycle town from their wifi void pool. XP

Another reason why I always wait until I have 10 villagers or someone adopts a villager from my cycle town before I do any trades between towns. XP

I wified with my other town first today~ So I think everyone should be safe from Gabi! LMAO
