Thinking of starting 2nd town / ideas

I'm debating whether to start a 2nd town and how i can make it work. i'm thinking of creating a green town with martial arts villagers. are there a lot of green plants that can make this possible? also, which villagers would seem like they "know" martial arts? lol

my current town is only a month or so old but this idea is sort of just going round and round in my head.

the villagers off the top of my head would be Kabuki, Genji, and Snake. the rabbits are jocks as well so maybe they'll fit that idea even more.

as for plants, the hydrangeas aren't in bloom for a long time compared to the rest, so maybe plant those in a lot of places. most of the bushes are a fine shade of green anyway c: oh, and look for a town with pears? perfect pears are yellow, though.

As far as villagers Coach told me not too long ago he knew marital arts lol but like Lullaby said Kabuki, Genji, and Snake are the ones that really look the part! The jock ones too would work really well especially if you can get them some decent clothes that go with the theme!

Most likely not. However I would recommend you make a pro design and display it in the able sister's. (Do not scan QR, as those cannot be displayed in the shop). Give it some time and maybe they will change into the custom outfit. Be sure to remove the other custom clothing with anything that is not a shirt.

I would encourage you, but for only about a month... I'd recommend you'd wait and see how you can improve your town. I know the feeling well since I am currently on my 4th town. If you really don't enjoy your current town as is, then go ahead.

They’ve got a Kung fu outfit, there’s the ninja one and the sushi chef looks just like a karate shirt, the jenbi shirt, even the Hanten shirt have that vibe. That’s off the top of my head, just look through your catalog.

Can't believe no one's said it (maybe because it's so obvious haha?) but if you're looking for green, martial-arts-y plants, then you should let bamboo go crazy for a while.

As far as villagers go, if you want a female villager (since most of them don't look like fighters, not even the Uchis), maybe Annalisa would work since she is very Asian-inspired? It's a bit of a stretch since it's only a fan theory, but you could also look at Rooney who is (possibly) named after a pro boxer?

wow! thanks all for those AWESOME ideas. so much info and details that i didn't even think of, like the shirt designs. yikes... lol i'm getting a bit intimidated but i'm taking down all these suggestions.

i went back to check the nintendo rewards and they took off the ACNL digital copy that was part of the rewards available.

if anyone have any other ideas / suggestion, please keep adding.

There are two males.
Walt and Rooney.

There a plenty of shirts that would work, felynes outfit ,hanten shirt, happi shirt, imperial shirt, jinbei top, kung fu top, kanji tee, ninja shirt, noodle tee, samurai shirt, striking outfit and the sushi chef's outfit.

and as for girl villagers: Flurry, Tiffany, Eunice or Vesta, Molly, Phoebe, Pekoe, Agnes, Gladys, Dierdre, Greta, Blanche, Nan and Mathilda.
And other boy villagers: Ken, Drago, Walt, Deli, Lionel and Zell

You could place Bsmboo and the zen garden to make it japanish maybe make your house or an alternate a dojo yo train in!

Marcel : Lazy, but Japanese themed - not all martial artist look like athletic go getters
Drago: Lazy - oriental theme, also cool looking and would be nice near a waterfall
Annalisa : Normal, but Japanese themed - gentle girl
Snake, Kabuki, Genji - Duh
Walt and Curt - Cranky instructor/older student etc.
Ken : Smug - has a nice Japanese vibe inside and outside his house
Honestly personality wise the Uchi's are good for the part, although finding one that is Asian themed is a tad harder, Phoebe is the main one that comes to my mind!
Greta is also a good her exterior house and interior are very Japanese, although traditional Japanese themes do not necessarily mean martial arts.

The super hero quad, Agent S, Rocket, Kid Cat, Big top - these could the more Westernized styles (MMA?)

Honestly My Town has ONLY Japanese/Asian theme and msot of them have been said already.

My town has
Genji, Annalisa, Snake, Ken, Curt, Pinky, Marcel, Phoebe, Greta and Coco

The only one that is not necessarily Japanese themed is coco, but she is my favorite Villager and has Japanese history to go behind her design, so it works.
Phoebe and Pinky are more Chinese design than Japanese at least for the house designs.


It depends on how you style/design the town as to who you should put in it. Like you could put sign boards up saying what specific type of martial art this villager or section of the villager represents. I would almost do that and worry less about who specifically.

As for plants definitely Bamboo and normal trees (that way they bloom Cherry Blossoms and that would scream any kind of fighting game tbh) All the bushes are a nice set of green, but just pay attention to the ones that bloom and what yo are willing to put up with. holly bushes will be covered with snow in the winter and bloom small red berries, as opposed to hydrangea's where they bloom big bushy flowers. If I were you I'd go for the Azaleas, they just seem to match things a lot better with you theme.
