It's one of my favorite PS2 games of all time, however, I never owned a PS2 and only played it at friends' houses. Recently, for Christmas, I got a http://www.gamestop.com/ps3/consoles/playstation-3-320gb-system-playstation-move-bundle/78480 (not spoiled, mind you. It was the only thing I got.) I was wondering if I could play PS2 games on it. I "portioned" the system's memory into an internal memory card. Is that only for PSN downloaded games, though?

the new model of the ps3 doesn't support ps2 discs, due to budget cuts.
if it's a downloadable game, it should work, nbd.
i assume you're not asking if you can run it off your hard drive..
if it's one of the non-slick/fingerprint-ridden/glossy ps3's, the original model, then it won't play ps2 discs, most likely.
the old ones played the ps2 discs, the new ones don't. old is glossy, new is matted or whatever.
it's on steam for $20 i believe. star wars battlefront 2 or something?

a ps2 oughta cost like.. $50 or so i think, now..

I'm running a Mac and I don't want to have to dualboot my computer to run it. It's on PSN, but it's for PSP. >.<
