I currently only own the one copy of the game (physical copy) and I am considering getting a second physical copy, issue is I don't have a second 3DS and therefore would only be able to play them one at a time. who else has two copies but only the one 3DS, do you enjoy just having the one 3DS and two copies?

I found someone selling a physical copy for about ?20 on ebay, which is pretty good considering CEX wanted about 25 pounds for it. I'm just not sure if I NEED a second copy, I struggle to find time playing my current one, I only consider a second one just for the heck of it. what do you guys genuinely think I should do? I'm just undecided at this stage.

I think you should go for it! There's no real downside to buying another copy, except for money spent of course.
You don't need two 3DS's to enjoy another game, though it's probably nice for free streetpass. I plan to get a second cartridge myself, partially because I'd be able to streetpass with myself since I'd like to use my old 3DS for my new game.
In conclusion, there's nothing to lose. It may even motivate you to play the game more!

Well I use my sisters 3DS for trading between my 2 towns but I mainly use both of mine on my one 3DS it isn't really bothersome though because I don't see why you would want to play your games at the same time.

Unless your talking about trading between them

Well if you want to and have time
I have 4 physical copy and 1 3ds so it's a bit bother so I just trade when I'm with my real friend to trade my stuff :p

But having lots of different town it's good I like it because it just give different variations all my town are completely different and love them each equal ...... -cough- love zebilage way more

So I say go for it
Beside it's Nintendo select it's cheaper now

I have the digital, and five physical. Only one ds. However, sometimes I need to transfer items, so I borrow my daughters. ( If she's in a good mood, and lets me).

I'm planning on getting a second one, but I only have one 3ds. I plan on either moving my current villagers into it or just having ten villagers I have wanted but couldn't fit because of villager limit.

it would be great to have a scond 3DS and the second cartridge would be used for self trading between the two, I man I could use the second copy as a cycling town, but still undecided what i would use it for if i do get another copy.

I played 2 copies on one 3DS for awhile. Once a month I got items together and asked my son to open his town so I could do a big transfer. Later I borrowed it for a week. Bought a 2nd one on Black Friday.

You could ask online for help moving items between your two towns. Or ask a very good friend if you can drop/pick up.
If you have everything ready in your lockers it can go very fast.

A second cartridgeis always handy. There's no real down side to it. You can either use it for another town, use it for cycling or use it on a 2nd DS to transfer things between two towns. I've always wanted a second DS to be able to do that (did have my old one initially but it broke). It was great while I had it though, was just able to go to the other town to clear my void or hold a villager without worrying.
But even without a second 3ds another game is great fun, whatever you decide to use it for :)

You might consider trying to get a used 2DS off of Kijiji/Craigslist, etc. It really makes having two cartridges feel "worth it"

This will be your 2nd town and you'll be responsible for it. If you don't feel true passion for making a new town, you can probably safely sit it out. You're not not missing much by not having a 2nd town.
