Thinking about resetting... I could really use some opinions!

Hello!

I have been playing ACNL since last September and my current in-game date is January 2015. I have been debating between resetting a lot lately - I have also just lost Whitney out of the blue (forgive me Animal Crossing if I can't play my game for three days) and it is too risky to cycle through 16 villagers to get her back.

My town layout is also starting to bug me a bit because villager homes are either keeping my from placing PWP's or PWP's are keeping villagers from moving into certain spots.

I also really hate my character's eyes. Lol I know that seems silly but she has these odd circle ones and after finding a face guide online I really want to change it.

The only thing is that I don't want to lose my sets. I have a gorgeous set, sweets set, snowman set, ice set, weeding day set, rococo set, mermaid set. Not a lot, but mostly unorderable.

I'd probably host giveaways for my villagers or I may auction them... I don't know, I could probably make a lot of bells off of some of them which would be nice for a new town, right? Except for Tia. I promised that user I'd give Tia a forever home so I'll have to find somebody to hold her. But then I paid 25 million for Stitches... I'd be so sad to lose him after only having him for a month.

I don't know ... It feels like a chore to come on and I'd like a fresh start, but I'm also a bit attached to my town, you know?

Anyways - what do you guys think? Should I reset?

I tried posting this in the sticky thread, but it doesn't seem to get answers very often and I saw somebody else make a thread about resetting so I thought it might be okay.. ^o^

Get your sets held, as well as Tia and Stitches and then reset.

If you're unhappy with your placements and layout, I'd reset. You can get someone to hold your stuff, I'll even do it if you need, and your villagers. Better to do it now rather than later.

Best thing to do is find someone to hold your stuff!
Seeing how long you've been playing, I'm sure you have a lot of valuables!
I'm sure you'll have tons of regret having to collect everything back lol

You've made a strong case to reset. Plus, once you think about resetting, it won't go away till you do, lol.

Like previous poster said, have someone hold on to your sets and dreamies. And when you do reset, now you know what you prefer when selecting your options. You'll have more fun!

Hmmm maybe I should.. the more I think about it the more I want to keep a lot of my villagers though! I don't know if I could find anybody to hold Merengue, Stitches, Tia, Zucker, and Bruce! (I'd be okay with losing Peggy, Roald, Marshal, and Pashmina)

Ask someone to hold your stuff then reset. Resetting is awesome!

That's a lot you wanna hold, but you may still be able to find enough people willing to do it for you. I can only hold items as my town's full, so sorry I can't be of any help to you there. But even if you can't keep all the villagers you want, you can always get them back later.

Thank you for the opinions everybody! I think I'm going to reset - I've found more than enough people offering to hold my items on Gamefaqs and even somebody to hold Tia! (Which is my main villager I want held!) Thank you all for your input!

If it bugs you then why bother keeping it? Starting off fresh isn't that horrible anyways.

If you decide to reset, feel free pm me and I can hold Stitches and Tia in my cycling town. My sister also has Tia in her town, who'd she'd be more than happy to give away, if you'd prefer to do that.
