So I've been thinking about making a second character for a while now. I'm still a little unsure, though. I can't decide where I want to put his house since I always change my mind and my town map is really bad, but the main problem is that I have no idea what to name him! Does anyone have any suggestions for cool character names?

you should come up w a name that matches your other character or your town name
(idk if u have a theme or not but w/e) or the name can just be totally unrelated
my mayor is named Cream with the town being named Milky
my side character is Sugar bc its all like qt theme idk idk

as for where to put the house mine live like next to each other
just pick a spot where it doesnt get in the way or annoy you too much

i definitely think you should make a second character
theyre useful for holding patterns and storage !!! :^)

Making a second character is really useful for keeping patterns (I have my clothing patterns on my main one since they're the ones I need for her, then stuff like paths I keep on my side characters). They're also helpful if you need to reserve an area of your town for something but don't want it to be a PWP.

I'd put her in a spot where you'd like to have something other than villagers, PWPs, or empty space. You can turn that side character's house into pretty much anything, like a hospital, a school, or just a spare house of sorts for your main character. Be creative! That character's house doesn't have to be house-like in any way so you can use it as a way of having a little extra in your town.

What else... name your character something you like, if you're going for a theme pick something related to it. It's your choice so we can't help you much there. I just picked names I liked and fit with the general "vibe" I was initially going for in my town.

My Second characters name also kind of matches my main. Main being Panduhh, of course and second being Penguin. Bother very cute black and white animals :P

I kind of want to make a secondary character to hold patterns and I have the same problem as you. I'm not really creative with names so I'm afraid I can't help you with that...

Can you post a picture of your map? Then it'd be easier for us to help pick a spot. :)

Yeah, I could definitely use the storage, my town is becoming a mess! ^^;
I like the idea of having a theme for the town like you do. Maybe I'll do something based on that.

That's a good idea! I didn't think of turning the house into other things. It would be fun to turn his place into something besides the traditional house.

I also name my secondary characters based on the town name. My town is Meryton (from Pride & Prejudice). I have a male named Firth (Colin Firth - in the movie, if you didn't know) and a female named Jane (as in Austen). My main character (mayor) is Flutter, so that doesn't match, but it's the same name I've had since Wild World. So it's obviously not a hard and fast rule. :)

That's cute

Sure! I can't do it right now because I'm at school, but when I have my game with me I can do that.

Yeah, I just used my name for my main character, but maybe for my second I'll name him after someone from a movie or something like you did.

My second character doesn't get a lot of love :3 I use him only as the path boy haha

I named him Kilua, after the same character in my fAvorite manga hunter X hunter, though the correct spelling should be Killua ( But Rover won't allow it)
