I don't know why, but this thread is quite depressing to me.
I'm actually quite content with my life right now.
Well, from what I see, most people want something deeper and more meaningful than just material goods.

Well, I mean yeah, most everyone wants a girlfriend/boyfriend, house, good-paying job, and car, but isn't that what everyone wants (including myself)?? Saying it here is depressing cause it sounds like people aren't content with what they have. I've always made it a side-thought in my head to still be content with my life, whether I live as a millionare or a hobo in the streets, since I know there are people with better lives and people with worse lives than my own. The main thing in life is to strive for your goals, and reach out to try and complete them, so you CAN have these things later down the line.
Just a little positivity note I'd like to inject into this thread.

That's true, but it's still not a bad thing to say you want something. It reinforces your desires to make you try harder. And I mean sure, we all want a car, bf/gf, but there's always that reason as to why we want it as much as we do. Not everyone has the same reasons for the same desires, and it may sound depressing because it's sounds like discontentment, but it really just depends on how hopeful they feel. Some people may sound confident about their wishes more than others, and that's fine~
But ya, with the way some said it, it does sound a bit pessimistic.
You're right. I guess it can't hurt to say what we want. And we don't have all the same reasons for wanting said things, so it makes for a fun discussion. Thanks, Alby-Kun. You're a good friend.
