Things you regret

Things i kind of regret

- Letting Erik leave
- I chose a not ideal map layout
- Used Save Editor to completely revamped my town, but then i reverted back to my original town because it felt unrewarding

I regret resetting my very first town because now I can't remember what it looked like or what I named it since I have reset so many times and I wished that I just kept it and worked with it instead of resetting. In New Horizons, I am gonna make the best out of what I get and not reset.

I regret some of my PWP placements that can’t be moved, and there are some issues I have with my town layout but it’s notging that majorly bothers me tbh!

I regret modding and deleting my original town in Wild World (I know the discussion is under New Leaf but I started in Wild World.) In New Leaf, my biggest regret is putting public works project in the wrong places and then having to re-do them because they don't fit in with my new vision of the town. :(

resetting my second town (or third i don't remember) because it had a really nice layout and i was making good progress on it. i would probably still play if i kept that town but i had an obsession with starting fresh

My biggest regret is cancelling the Caf? ceremony on my first town. I was upset that Isabelle won’t let me host the ceremony until two days after it was built, all because there were two events in a row. Anyway, I deleted that town, and I don’t ever plan on cancelling PWP ceremonies for major attractions again. I find it ridiculous that you can’t host ceremonies when another event is going on.

I haven’t played ACNL in quite awhile but I can remember one retreat I had very clearly. That was rotating my villagers out of Valley after I got their pictures - most notably Murphy. He was my best bud and was always dropping by my house with gifts! Sure, I can bring him back along with the others (Bangle, Chevre, Merry..) with their amiibos but they aren’t the same. :(

Can't say I have regretting anything. I love my houses and town. I like to redecorate a bit sometimes to keep it fresh, if they idea was better then the last. I have changed or moved around some public work projects. But that is it. I would like to say I regret cheating. I would like for once to play a game like this and earn everything on my own. Instead of buying it from people online. But I like what I like. And if I didn't cheat, I wouldn't have most of the stuff I have now. Especially the things you can get with amiibo cards. At the time, I was pretty broke. The only amiibo cards I got were gifts. Now you can hardly get them. I could on Amazon, but they are double the price of what they were when the first came out at EBGAMES. Why pay that money when I can use fake money and still get what I want.

I didnt liked where i putted my campsite...
Plus, i regret having lots of ACNL friends... I have more than 20 and i thought it was cool... But it's super boring...

Selling off my original town I had in 2015, there is so much content I had within it that may be hard to obtain or just isn?t available anymore. I had every upgrade within Main Street besides the fortune telling place. I had decent villagers which I miss like Diana, Bud, Mitzi (the only ones I can think of as right now). I was also around 2 years into owning it :(

i hate and regret that i didn't reset my town to get apple trees instead of cherry trees, and also for my town layout. i don't know what i was thinking. i once did reset that town in the very beginning because i really hated the eyes and hair i ended up with by answering his questions, but i guess at that time i just got too into the game to really consider those two inconveniences... until i learned that you can only have those golden fruits of a specific fruit if that fruit is the native fruit of your town. omg. i would have rather had any native fruit other than cherry if i could, especially apple. (i hate cherries irl) i had cherry trees in ww too. so yeah. no cherry trees remain in my town (i believe).

and as for my town layout, it's definitely unique. unique in a bad and a good way... most maps of the towns i've seen have a good sizable amount of land on the top of it from when you walk out of the train station, there's usually a full rectangle or square plot of land there which is nice. but for my town, the land is thin (i don't have much space to work with) and goes both ways to the left and to the right with rivers underneath both which separate it and the main three land sections FROM the main three land sections of my town too. if you go left or right, they lead to nowhere. it's a bit of a waste. if i could have more than three bridges, i'd make two more for these. but i can't. so the left side is a bunch of trees (lmfaooo) as a tree walkway and the right side i've made (2? or 3) villager house plots. it works for the type of town theme i have though.

I put my cafe down in a horrible spot. I've reset since then so now I'm like, extra paranoid of where to place it!

I regret restarting my town.
I was pretty happy with my old one, but I guess I got bored and wanted to retry with a new layout and everything. I didn't anticipate how tedious it would be to upgrade everything slowly and not be able to quickly get into designing my new town.
Once the start of the game isn't new to you it gets tiring :(

building my house right in a corner of the town... :/

I feel this so much. My house is in the top right corner of town. Depending on the map, that may not be too bad, but where my house is left a very narrow gap to get down to the beach. I would move my house over a bit, or just completely move my house down closer to the middle of town where my secondary and tertiary characters are located.

I regret the location of some of the public works projects that I can't move like the campsite. It's not too bad so it's not something I can't live with, but I wish I had made it a bit further away from the central part of town. I like the idea of it being in its own private little section.

Speaking of immovable public works projects, I regret the police station I chose just a little bit. I love Copper, but I prefer the look of the old police station.

I kind of regret the name Roseton. There are so many towns with the name "Rose" in them. Now that I'm embracing my nerdy side more than I did when I was about 15 years old, I'd probably name my town something nerdier, like Dewford or something.

While there are some things I regret, I hate hacking; I don't even know how I would, so I can't really change it. But I'm super against any sort of cheating as it makes my game feel filthy or something. I've gotta learn to live with what I have and it's not something I would reset over.

I lowkey regret the layout I chose for my second town because of some minor details. However, I'm in too deep with what I've done so far to want to reset it again :(

I really regret building my campsite and cafe in the locations I chose. Both are situated right in front of bridges and they block my walking path. It's inconvenient and it doesn't fit into the theme of my town either. When I began to lay down tiles on my town, it felt more like I was working around my mistakes rather than designing it in the way I wanted. Sadly I can't demolish the buildings and I'm not about to reset my town just to fix it.

On another note... it's unrelated to the thread but I'm on exchange in Europe for a few months and I decided against bringing my console overseas. So now I don't have access to my ACNL game T_T Many regrets... I hope my villagers don't move out while I'm gone

-restarting my first town (restarted like 50 times.) but it kept me from getting bored of the series. Really wish I had my town from day one(ish) but oh well
-I regret not settling for Bunnie and Cherry as my dreamies for my main town because now I am stuck trying to decide whether I should wreck all my PWP and do the whole plot reset thing all over again just to get them in and replace Rosie and Mira or just say "ehh **** it" and keep them in my other town.
-I used Nox as my IGN for my main town but instead of 'N' I used 'η' to make it look fancy, but I didn't know is actually a lowercase 'H' so now I am forever stuck with the name Hox. >_>
-My main town map is nearly perfect, although the position of a certain lake blocks a path and proves to be more bothersome than I thought
-Completely delted all my old 3DS friend many yesrs ago. Like not from TBT but close mutuals from a different forum whom I will probably never see or here from again :(

i regret the placement of my mayor's home. it sits really close to the edge of the cliff and it has three tiles in front of the door and i can't plant any bushes or saplings without them wilting the next day. i also really regret time travelling to move out villagers, but i really want to work on my town :(
