I miss Wisp. He actually gave you a reason to play the game late in the night. When I was younger I would stay up late to play just so I could encounter him. Maybe he'll be in the next iteration of animal crossing.
I kind of miss the taxi driver style that comes into town and the city plaza in city folk, I really wish there were more shops to unlock! The more things the better xD

same. i also miss making constellations, morning exercise, and getting goodies(besides just badges) from phineas(ik you can get goodies from streetpass, but meh).
I miss the CF maps. I liked the maps where the river would split and leave you with an island. I also liked the two levels so that the beach wasn't isolated by the cliff.
I miss morning aerobics, the soccer/football, playing Excitebike on the NES, and being terrified of encountering Wisp for some weird reason (okay, maybe not that last one). I would also miss drawing Blanca's face, if I had ever gotten the chance too ;__; (little me was so sad I never got to draw it!)
I miss the personality of the villagers in the old games Sure they were more rude/harsh, but that was the charm. Their unique individual personality *-* Now these villagers say almost the same stuff it gets boring.
I even miss mean old Phyllis.
Ah man, I miss the whole Animal Crossingopulation Growing game in total. I remember waking up super early in the morning just to participate in the morning aerobics. I also miss the soundtrack, it had the best music. I also really liked that after you finished paying your loan off you got a statue built of yourself in front of the train station.
I miss Wisp, the dump, Nook giving away raffle tickets for the raffles at the end of each month. All those little perks about the gamecube version are what I miss the most :c
I really miss some of the older soundtracks, and especially the acorn festival and red turnips from Wild World. The acorns would look so nice as misc. items on the ground along with mushrooms for a fall/winter themed town, and I loved how you could grow the red turnips as a crop. Now, all you can grow as crops are fruits, mushrooms, and bamboo.
They really need to make a version where they focus less on the new furniture/new features, and more on a compilation of every older feature in one single game.
I miss split rivers. They were so pretty in Wild World and City Folk.
I also miss the town layouts of the original GameCube AC. The towns were larger and there were more possibilities of different town layouts than in New Leaf. I loved towns which had two cliffs or an extremely long river!
I miss the villagers being mean. I remember the "nicer" villagers like peppies would straight up call me ugly and a weirdo. lol I miss the signboards being easier to place and not PWPs. I miss the lotus in the big part of the river. I miss all of the festivals. Pretty much everything.
I kind of miss the cliffs and what-not that the GC version had. I hope that in the next game there might be a climate option, kind of like HHD has, where you can choose a beachy area of land, or a mountainous one, only with the whole town.
I also miss the extremity of the personalities. I seem to remember the mean characters eventually warming up to you after you did lots of stuff for them.
