My original town, Balamb, I was going to finally reset despite having all my dreamies and everything. I figure everything can be rebuilt, right?

I was on the title screen and who should the camera choose to follow?

Apple. My sweet, adorable little pudge.

And that made me hesitate. And I even backed up the file beforehand. What's wrong with me???

Has something happened to anyone else like this when you were on the verge of resetting?

So you mean you erased the file then you knew you made a big mistake? I never thought about resetting before. What do you mean back up the file beforehand?

I will never reset New York... even if i did want to reset the one that would probably stop me is Lucky, Kid Cat, Muffy and yes basically i love all my villagers <3 i would never bring myself to delete my profile

I used to restart after having all my dreamies and stuff in CF. I'm not sure why. In ACNL I don't think I could bring myself to reset it. I love Chief and my map too much <3

No, I didn't reset. I planned to, and I have "That Which Shall Not Be Named" that allows me to create backup save files of my towns.

Comes in extremely handy for a game that corrupts a little too frequently for my comfort. Hasn't happened to me (yet), but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

And glad I'm not the only one who treasures her villagers. <3

There's no way I could've reset any of the towns I've made so far: Trost, HOMRA, and HOMRA 2.0 (It's a long story as to why I've had to buy so many copies of the game). Every time I load my game and see Tiffany or Benjamin walking from their home or just walking about, I feel a little tug in my heart. I love what I've been doing to the town, and I couldn't possibly reset it now.

I couldn't reset any of my long term towns. I just take down all the pwp's and redesign the towns.

I love my town way too much to ever reset :3 I got ACNL and my 3DS as a birthday present from my lovely boyfriend almost 2 years ago and I moved my mayor from his town to mine. So my town's anniversary is my birthday and it has a lot of sentimental value ^.^ I'm happy just switching things up as I get new ideas for how to decorate and landscape.
