So, I found this video from 2013 where this guy uses a glitch that I'm pretty sure was already patched and that allowed you to get Isabelle to the beach when you were going to show her where to place a PWP.
Then, in this other video he tries to talk to her into building the PWP on the beach but she doesn't let him. No big deal, except at 1:08 she denies saying they're too close to the ocean.
THE OCEAN. She has dialogue for this built in, which means that at some point they must have planned to let us place PWPs there, just not too close to the ocean, but still, on the beach.
I wonder why they changed their minds??

Interesting... Would be cool to build a Hawaiian Bar... Or, a Hawaiian Cafe, because "BARZ AR BADD FOR DA KIDDDS".

I've heard this info before and I'm pretty certain that it was a planned feature at some point. Although, for whatever reason, they removed it, bummer!

i would seriously love it if we could put stuff on our beaches- right now, since we can't put buildings and pwps, most people's beaches are just left for breeding or planting random palm trees.
i love it when hacked towns have bonfires and hammocks down there! one time i saw this really neat beach where the mayor put an alt character's tent out on the beach. it looked really nice. another reaaaallly pretty beach fixture i saw in a hacked town was retail far in the upper corner of the beach. it was seriously pretty and made me sad we couldn't utilize our beach space ;;

It would be interesting to put PWPS on the beach. I could put up a campfire on the beach if it lets me.

The hammock and that other white chair look like they were made for the beach... even the picnic thingie would look very in place! The campfire I'm not that sure of, do people normally camp on beaches? hmm...
I saw retails and tent houses on beaches on hacked towns as well... once the character was a fisher, and other time they made the captain of Gulliver's boat that went looking for him! x)

That makes sense if it was planned feature in the game. Some PWPs look like they would look better on the beach than on regular land. For example, the "Outdoor Chair" PWP looks like a chair you would see on a beach, rather than something you'd see on grass. My theory is that the feature was in the game (Isabella's dialogue proves this), but it was probably taken out very close to the release of the game. It might have something to do with where beach items (seashells, Gulliver, etc.) spawn on the beach, and that might've screwed with the PWPs on the beach. It's more than likely due to limited space since you don't have as much room to place PWPs on the beach as you do on grass. Idk that's just a theory. A GAME THEORY (sorry, not sorry lol)
