Themes for Rutabaga!

So I am completely torn about what to do with my town of Rutabaga.... I haven't come up with any good ideas for it, and haven't come up with a concise list of villagers either... currently I have

Lobo
Jacques- only villager I definitely know I want to keep
Papi
Diva
Molly
Peanut
Celia
Bruce
Hamlet- will probably keep him too though
Broffina

I really want to get rid of some of the Avian villagers, didn't realize it was so many birds.... and the only thing I could think of so far is like a darker forest theme, although I am using beautiful town ordinance. I also plan on making like an outdoor party behind Jacques' house since he is a DJ and looks like a college kid

as far as any thing else I'm open to ideas.... so have you heard any cool, interesting, exotic, demanding themes or ideas for towns you'd like to share? once I find a fun theme, I can tweak the villagers to fit it

I also want to use a single pathway through out the entire town.... and can only be contained on one mayor's patterns slots

You should try a paradise theme, or even a Japanese garden type approach.

I would either go for a woodland theme which means Jacques, Lobo, Peanut, Molly and Diva would still fit in as woodland animals. This would then cut Broffina, Celia, Bruce and Papi cutting down on your avian villagers. You could then add some rabbits, more squirrels or deer and maybe have so more wolves etc.

On the other hand a domestic animal theme would work quite well since both birds and hamsters (to two you want to keep) can be pets. Then you could add some dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens,ducks etc. This would let you keep Broffina and Molly too though. For the town you could add the giant boot, some benches and lampposts and make it like a pet park type feel. Many of the NPCs would also fit this theme as Isabelle, Digby, Reese nd Cyrus are also domesticated animals.
