Who here has a themed village? Why?
I wouldn't like a themed village, too much work, and honestly, as long as I like the villagers and my town looks nice, I don't care what the theme is.

I guess its 'cause I bought the game when it came out, did everything in my first save then wanted to start anew and try something different.

I'm gonna have an "Old" town, like Victorian times. I dunno why, just seemed like a good idea and my countless attempts at a "natural" town just weren't working.

I'm working towards a victorian/london-y town, loosely based on another video game. Even my town's name is based on this game. : ) I like towns that are natural and like the original game too (not much development), though.

I have a themed village based on the colour white. I have one just because it's so much easier, it helps me to know what vision I want for my town and what direction to go in for my town. It also helps me with PWPS, so i'm never confused on what to do next with my town or what PWP to put down. The last few towns I had didn't have a theme and I was so unsure on what to do with the town, that I ended up deleting them. I don't have themed villagers, because I have certain villagers that I really love and I won't risk those villagers just to fit with a theme. If I did, i'd probably not even really like the town i'm building up, because I don't have villagers I love it. I have made some exceptions with PWPs though. The picnic blanket was just too cute so I used it. :)

I want to do a pink-purple town in spring, whit pink trees.

My two towns are opposite. Midnight is dark anime themed (so any anime that is dark. Like puella magi, future diary, and so on), while Cocona is soft (light) anime (includes sailor moon {my town tune}, cardcaptor sakura, and so on). It's not really themed to the extreme since I'm not a hard core anime fan .-. But when villagers ask me to change their greeting or catchphrase I make sure it follows that category ^-^ and the cutout boards and signs are themed like that ^-^ the paths will be light for Cocona and dark for midnight ^-^

I have a Pok?mon town and believe me, it's a LOT of work. I'm very specific about my town so it has a lot of details and references. Maintaining my villager's outfits, catchphrases, and greetings is a lot. At one point, I tried to redecorate their homes but it literally takes forever for them to replace something specific. x_x Each villager is based on a Pok?mon so it becomes annoying whenever another villager adopts someone's catchphrase. At the same time, I absolutely love my town because it's something I really love and getting that satisfaction accomplishing something so big is great. I honesty can't wait to be completely done. So close, yes yes.
