What's the longest you've had to plot reset? Who was that ONE villager that just REFUSED to move where you want them to?

I bring this up because I feel it's some common ground for a lot of players; getting that ONE villager to move into the PERFECT place.

I just placed Sprinkle in a spot that's decent. See, she kept moving into Fuchsia's old spot, and I have Fuchsia moving in right after Sprinkle. That's kind of problematic. Sprinkle is not allowed to move into Fuchsia's old spot, or anywhere near it, for that matter. It took me about half an hour, 45 minutes, to get Sprinkle to move into a spot that's fairly decent. Of course, some hybrids were lost, as were some bamboo stalks, but that'll be easily fixed later on.

Now my problem is that I'll have to plot reset Fuchsia back into the right place... //sigh

When I was plot resetting for Erik, he placed his house in the exact same spot five times in a row. It was a terrible spot, but I figured I made a mistake somehow and let him keep his house where it was.
When I went on as my mayor, I noticed that his house wasn't there and panicked. Then I found out that he plotted in a great spot! That could have been a disaster if I didn't get super lucky there. :L

Aww I'm sorry to hear your struggles with plot resetting :c I had the same problem, except with Rosie. She kept moving into a place where I wanted to build a wisteria trellis, and I almost settled with it.

Luckily in the end I got her to move into Francine's old plot. It takes a lot of patience to plot reset.

Oh wow! What a stroke of good luck! Glad that worked out well for you! That would have been bad D: haha

It really does take a lot of patience :p I'm going to need that, once I get my other three dream villagers to move back to my town (I have 5 more villagers left to cycle and I can get them all back :) ). See, the thing with those three... They all have a specific 3x3 plot that I want them to move back to. I have their spots marked up with my cobblestone pattern, flowers surrounding their plots... //sigh It's going to be a nightmare making them move back to their exact locations...

The longest was Frita who took daaays that I didn't even bother counting but I think it took a week or more. ;^; she wouldnt put her house in the exact spot I wanted her in and wouldn't go in it even once. It was so frustrating that I just let her plot in a decent spot because I was about to miss my birthday in game.

I am currently plot resetting Francine and she just won't go into the spot I want her in even if my town has random pwps all around it. ugh

Oh gosh, that's the worst! I have PWPs all over my town as well, but they still go and ruin my flowers, bushes, trees, and bamboo ; n ; why must they be so cruel to us

I know right ;__; you feel like it'll go well since you have a bunch but they still seem to find a way to plot down into really bad spots. I feel like this one will take days or weeks again LOL good luck on plot resetting Fuchsia! :)

The struggle is all too real...

Haha I'm going to get to it right after I clean up my town a bit. There are gyroids underground EVERYWHERE... And a bunch of normal flowers I don't need haha

Took about another half hour, but I got Fuchsia to move exactly where I wanted her to move! YES! Back to cycling I go :D haha

the longest would be probably 3-5 hours? I forgot who was that villager. jesus maybe it was merengue. though I cannot imagine plot resetting for days.

fauna and fang just refused to place their house down where angus' house used to be at. It either had to do with skye's house placement (even though there was a huge amount of space between skye and kid cat's houses) or the fact that angus had left a week ago. I did find decent places for fauna and fang though. they weren't locations I was planning on having villagers have their houses plot down but it's all good and it doesn't bother me.

glad you got to plot fuchsia where you wanted to (:

Yikes, even just more than an hour is pretty intense >.> I can't imagine doing it for days -- or weeks -- either.. haha

That's not too bad of a deal, then :) Glad to hear it worked out, in the end!

4 hours for Frita!
She never even came close that spot! When she did it was 1! off from being perfect but I let her

oh god plot resetting

last one I did was a few hours for Octavian. He's not in the perfect spot but I didn't really have a spot in mind, and he plotted in between two other villagers to make kind of a sideways line? so I was like okay that will look nice. But Flora's house is right beside his in an awful spot so she's moving out and then it'll be perfect over there~ c:

The only two villagers left who's house placement I hate (and never should've settled for, I plot reset but got tired and gave up) are Chief and Merengue. They are so in the way. I really don't want to reset so I'm planning on (very slowly) moving them out, cycling, and getting them back so I can move them to better locations.

I know that seems insane but honestly everything else in my town is complete so I have nothing left to do anyways, I figured why not? Something else to work towards.

Or more likely I'll give up and replace them with other villagers, but I'm really attached to Chief so I don't know~

I honestly never thought I would have such a problem since all the other villagers placed their plots down just where I wanted them in just a few minutes. I really considered myself lucky and didn't think it'd be that bad as everyone would complain until finally haha. but I always find a way.

I've been thinking of building streetlights wherever I don't want them to put their plot as they have set plot spaces. Demolition only takes 1 day so... maybe I can force them into certain spaces?

I don't understand why there's place all over and sometimes it seems they just try to hog that one space. I hope the next AC-game brings a solution to that.

I sometimes give up on the whole resetting game and pick something 'acceptable' simply because I want to continue building my town.

I would suggest using larger public works projects. I have lights set up as well, but they plop down right next to them.
