The White Katana is cursing my town...

So a little while ago I had bought a White Katana because I?ve been trying to fill my catalog. While out for a stroll, Zell comes up to me and is like I have to have that White Katana. So I?m like k fine take it.
A few weeks later Zell comes up to me and is like Mayor, I?m bored with my White Katana can you find me something to replace it? So I gave him whatever random item I had in my inventory.
I go to retail and decided to put the White Katana up for sale for anyone else that would want it.
A few more weeks pass and finally Merry walks into retail and was like I have to have that White Katana! So I?m like go for it Merry you do you girl.
It?s been two days and I mosey into the police station to find the White Katana.
I go ahead and pick it up and as I?m walking around my town, Molly comes up to me and is like I have to have that White Katana. So I let her have it...

I?ll update this as it gets passed along further since I know it will.

I'm cured with a white Katana, but in a different way.

So SOMEHOW one of my animals got ahold of a white Katana, idek how, I didn't give it to them. They decide to put it in ReTail, but for some really stupid reason they make the price so high, the animals don't even buy it. They just say 'oh, I need one, but not for that much' then walk away, there literally is no option to persuade them. And I'm not about to buy a white Katana for over shop price, esp when I already have it in my catalogue.

Finally the day comes where that animal leaves Moriyo. Yay, except one day, Fauna has the bright idea of putting a WHITE KATANA in ReTail for over shop price, and so high that there is no convincing an animal to buy it. So now, until I can transfer Fauna to Secret, there is a white Katana plaguing my ReTail, taking up a spot.

Looks like nobody was strong enough to deal with the power of the White Katana. Now the
White Katana will be given around till it finds itself a owner who can deal with it's power.

Jokes aside, I had a similar situation with a Blue chair once, which also had lots of owners
before it's last owner put it back into Re-Tail. I decided to pick it up then and put it in my
house.

Just sell it. It’s been coded that villagers don’t keep the items you give them for long unless it’s their own items, that’s just how it works, I’m sorry.

“Incorrect info” Now before you get me on this, yes, they do get rid of items when they have their original furniture. It’s coded like that. But have you ever requested a villager to sell their furniture in their house and they rejected you to sell some of their items? It’s because they aren’t items that can’t get sold at retail, be replaced, etc. But if they sell it to you they will get removed or replaced.

UPDATE: I was in retail closely watching Merry, I could see she was eyeballing that White Katana...
She went up to it with interest so I talked to her and she was like THAT price?!?! So I had to see what it was being sold for.
That’s where things get interesting.
Merry had it before, then lost it and I found it, then Molly wanted it so I gave it to her.
But the villager selling the Katana in retail is.... ZELL?
And he wants 22k bells that dreamer.

Tempted to buy just to keep the cycle going. But maybe I’ll just let it sit there and remember this fun story.

Ken was feeling very generous and gave me a Black Katana today.
I put it for sale in retail right next to the white one.
Diva was checking out both of them... but went with the balloon dresser instead.

Love this story lol I recently was gifted a black katana. Now I’m scared to offer it to any villagers if they ask, so I’m keeping it locked away to be safe. Never shall I have a curse! I could sell to re-tail but no fun in that. Little stories like yours adds excitement and humor into the game and it’s fun to be apart of it

Both the white and black katanas are still for sale in retail right now.
I lurk in there for awhile whenever another villager is mosey-ing around but so far no interest in them.

Zell was in there for I swear over an hour. I kept going back and forth to and from retail and he was in there every time I stopped in to sell things. Wonder if he was pondering the high price of his white katana... or if the black katana would be a better fit for him? I think the black one would look better in his house honestly. I should send it in a letter LOL

Zell is rich, I know he has gorgeous furniture in his house, he can afford a Katana.

Also, since no animal will buy the white Katana in my town, I'm thinking about buying it myself to 1 get it out and 2 I think I'll incorporate it in Kasumi's house. It works too cause her house is supposed to be a little classy/elegant.
