Okay, so I see a lot of people struggling to connect on these forums. Hopefully this can help change all that. Welcome to the Weekender's Open Gate Club.

People who add one another here will make an effort to leave their gates open on the weekends: Saturday and Sunday.

Hopefully this will make it easier to come and go in other New Leaf towns as well as accept visitors.

Mine is winter. I'm leaving my gates open with the 3ds closed but plugged in. It looks like after an hour I get an error code that says it disconnects. Any idea why that is?
