So I'm super late to join the band wagon of New Leaf and I'm still really new to the site.. So I'm wondering if someone can explain to me or link me somewhere that explains what the void is and how to clear it?

So when your villagers move out, if no one asked them to move into their town they go into your "void". If you visit with someone who has less than 10 villagers, the villager from your void can move into their town.
If you visit someone with 10 villagers, your void is cleared
If you visit someone with 10 villagers, your void is cleared
