The villager trick didn't work...

Ok so everyday I make a new character just to do the campsite/villager trick I did it today however on my new guy I checked around my town no new plots(thankfully) and no camper. HOWEVER -_- When i got on my mayor and went over to the cafe which I located by the campsite I saw the tent was set up and an immediate wtf vibe came up deep down from my soul.

I have no clue what I did wrong, is it something that happened because I was supposed to not save and start over with a new character until a camper shows up?

actually, unless you place the new characters house, what you just saw was only a possibility of how your town could look today! when youre trying to do the villager trick you have to remember to set down your house and save when you find something you like, or else itll be just like it never happened

Yep. You keep starting over until a camper appears, it's random. Sometimes they wont show up, sometimes they will. When you're happy with your camper, save and get on your Mayor. You'll have to wait for tomorrow to do it now, though. Since you already logged onto your mayor.

Keep starting over until a villager appears. If you don't like it or there isn't anyone camping, reset. If there's one of your dreamies, build a house with the new character, save, and then erase that character.
