So lately I've been thinking of how nice it would be to have an extra copy of ACNL. I bought the special AC 3DS which came with a digital copy of ACNL pre-downloaded on the day it was released and I just caaan't bring myself to restart my town. But actually having the option to start a new town while being able to keep my old one is a VERY APPEALING idea to me.
I could either wait for the release of ACNL Welcome Amiibo, or I could just buy a used copy of regular ACNL to save money, right? But. My question is. How does the update work when you have multiple copies of the game? Do I have to download the update for each game? Or does the update work for every copy of the game that you happen to have? I ask because I feel like I might be willing to pay the extra money for the physical Welcome Amiibo version of the game if it means my 3DS memory won't be filled up with double the amount of blocks for the updates.
