Hey, guys. My name is Nikki, and not only am I an Actual Dog, but I'm a (sorta nooby) artist. I haven't been drawing due to mental health nonsense, but I really need to try to get back into the swing of things to see if I can pull myself out of it. Here's an example of sort-of AC style that I did for someone a little while back:


All requests will be sketches. Commissions can go up to flat color, but I'm a bit uncomfortable with that, because it takes me a very long time to color and I'm not very good at it, unfortunately. A sketch will look like this:


More examples are in my Tumblr art tag/dA gallery. I crosspost like a monster, but all of my art resides on my (very NSFW) Tumblr. So, uh, without further ado...

[Note: As time goes on, if I get back into the swing of drawing, I may be able to start taking more requests. For now I have to limit myself, as I need to take it slow so I don't get overwhelmed. But this may be a good exercise for me.]

So have at ye! I'm sorry about the lack of color, it's really an area I need to work in. Perhaps I'll be more able to as time goes on!

**EXTRA NOTE** I may be rather slow at getting these out considering I haven't drawn in forever/my mental health/etc., so please try to be patient with me! ;v; Also, unless specified as a commission, I'll simply be doing sketches. No offers are needed for those.

Why are you trying so hard to get compliments? Bad mouthing YOUR OWN work isn't going to help? Why would you make a request thread if this is what you think of your own work? lol

Fair enough if you want feedback, but I'm pretty sure normal artists don't present their work and then persuade their audience to dislike their work...

Idk, this feels to me more of a "hey look at my "sh**y, terrible! worthless and bland work!" (your words.) and less like an actual service.

Ah, I apologize. I'm not actually 'fishing for compliments'; I was in a bit of a mood last night so it probably amplified what I was already feeling. Truth be told, I'm not sure how else to view my work; I automatically assume that it's not worth anyone's time, but if they care to, then they can look, if that makes sense -- which it probably doesn't. My dysphoria is pretty elevated, and it's hard for me to understand people actually enjoying my work. You are right, though; I should try to be less harsh on myself because I can see how that would be a turn-off, I think. I'm so used to it it's pretty much standard for me. My brain picks out everything that's wrong about myself and assumes the worst by nature, and while it mostly comes out like this in my art, my paranoia/anxiety levels are pretty high in general.
This isn't to say other people don't deal with this -- not by a longshot. I'm just... Inexperienced, I think is the correct term. I don't often try to actively "sell" my art, so I don't really know the proper etiquette. But! I would like to thank you, because I probably needed to hear this -- you're right, and I do appreciate it. I don't know if I'll ever stop disliking my art, but I should be considerate enough to let people make their own judgments without forcing mine down their throats. So, this was a roundabout way of saying thank you, and I'll clean up my post because I wasn't happy with it either. ^^;

Of course! If you just wanted a sketch, you don't have to pay anything, dear uvu I've seen you in Fawful's thread, and I really like your personality Unfortunately, due to my silly mental restrictions on myself, lineart and up would need some form of payment. But! A sketch is completely free~

Absolutely! I may have some trouble drawing Tabby correctly, as I'm really unsure of her design, but I will do my best! uvu

And, @gamzee, I'm sorry about that. ): My coloring skills are not up to par -- I need to practice, but I actually have to start drawing again first to do that. xD; I do understand, and thank you anyway <3

Don't worry, you aren't clogging the thread or anything uvu! (and thank you ;; i was being too hard on myself and was also being rude to everyone else so im glad i fixed it up, and im glad youre all so kind to me <33)
