The Super Mario Galaxy Movie was announced back on September 12th with a planned release date of April 3rd, 2026. We got our first trailer for it today:
What are your thoughts on the trailer and the new characters unveiled so far? Are you looking forward to the movie? Do you plan on seeing it in theatres or waiting until it's available via streaming or DVD?
Personally, I thought it was an alright trailer. The initial sequence was funny, and it was interesting getting our first look at Rosalina and Bowser Jr. (though interesting that we didn't see Yoshi yet despite his design being leaked). It was also really interesting to see a reference to Odyssey's Sand Kingdom in there. I don't watch a lot of movies these days, and haven't watched a movie in theatres in ages, so much like The Super Mario Bros. Movie, I'll wait until it's available via streaming to watch it. On that note, I still haven't watched The Super Mario Bros. Movie, though I'll probably try and make time for it before the year is over.
