so i invited a bunch of friends over to help clear out all the ugly flowers that are overrunning my town and someone had to leave, and i asked them to use the airport so it saved, and they did, but a communication error happened and we lost all of our progress :( this happened twice today and im wondering whats going on?? is this a bug or just one of our wifi's acting up? it's very frustrating and i feel like i'm never going to get rid of these stinky flowers fghfh

This is why Nintendo needs an actual server instead of depending on people's wifi. I mean, they're already charging us for it so why not actually put that money toward something.
Right?? they've always seemed to struggle with online stuff you'd think they would have it figured out by now :<

awww i'm sorry :(
i didn't realise it doesn't autosave during multiplayer? ;o

I've ranted about this before but imo I think they're looking at what Sony and Microsoft are doing and are copying them. Notice how they added online payment and upped the prices on their games? I think it's because they're doing whatever Sony and Microsoft are doing. The difference being that Sony and Microsoft actually have servers to pay for and their hardware are usually better quality. Take a look at Nintendo's joycons and how trashy those are, yet are priced ridiculously. As well as how bad the Switch's battery is. It's 2020, there's no excuse for how bad it is.

Whoops, here's a rant again

It actually does autosave online more frequently as of the last update, but I can only assume the flower-clearing task took place entirely between autosave intervals. Offline it autosaves every three minutes last I knew, which might also be the case online now, but before the update autosaves were very, VERY infrequent!
