Who else is excited?
It releases on September 2nd! I'm too excited!!
I've been a Sims fan for 13 years (:

I'm excited! I always loved all the Sims game, and I have pretty much played every single one. I've never been one to collect the expansion packs, but I think this time around I am going to!

I love the Sims series! Unfortunately, I won't be able to get the Sims 4 because of lack of space. I know some people who have a separate laptop/computer just for their Sims games, because of the expansion packs take up memory etc.

I didn't even know there was a Sims 4 coming out... I used to be obsessed with the Sims 2 but never really got into the Sims 3 and then I lost interest. The more you know, I guess! :)

I'm excited - it looks so much like an improved Sims 2 to me :o - but I'm also kind of bummed out because we'll have to wait for the expansion packs. :c It's hard for me to play any Sims game without seasons or pets.

Honestly I've barely touched Sims 3 and I have most of the expansions. D: Until Sims 4 gets its expansions (which could be a while) I'll probably stick with 3. Maybe a little of 2, if I feel nostalgic.

I feel you on the seasons part. It's just not the same without seasons once you've played WITH seasons. And clear/sunny skies every day just isn't realistic…

But hey, maybe this Sims game will just come with seasons in it's original game. That'd be awesome.

The new create-a-sim looks awesome! Other than that, I'm not really looking forward to anything else about the game. I'll definitely get it but I'll wait until the price drops.

I'm excited about how it's more realistic the and sims will actually have real moods. And some things will affect their moods, like make them happy, depressed, lonely, etc.

I love more realisticness :)

That's cool too, totally forgot about it. I also like how there's now a friendship and relationship meter for every sim. But idk, I still can't justify buying it for its release price. If they do end up adding seasons in the base game I'd be a lot happier about it but I don't see that happening...

Yeah it probably won't happen lol. They lose potential money that way.

I'm considering getting it due to lack of games I've had to play lately. I don't really know if I'd play it all that often though. I guess it depends what the controls are like.

I remember playing The Sims 2 and loving it, but when I got The Sims 3, it was weird. All the controls and how things worked were different and I hated the difference, so I literally played it once and never went back to it. :c

Might be cool, assuming the main game and its expansion packs aren't half a terabyte in size ;3

I'm not so sure... The pools won't be in the main game, that's weird to me.

Moreover, the Sims 3 was so glitchy that it made my PC lag and overheat, it was known from EA/Maxis. User patches helped to solve the issue, but I don't know if I'm willing to trust them again or if I should wait until the users fix the issue for them instead, as they did with Sims 3.

HAHAHA yeah no the base game will come with the bare minimum.

which means no toddlers and pools and no weather.

Exactly. I had TS2 for years but I never did get Seasons, and I'm so sick of the same sunny summery days just never ending. I couldn't play TS3 until Seasons came out.

Yeah, there's a chance! We have hope, but it's just...I don't want to be disappointed D:

edit: right, just read about no toddlers or pools... I'm feeling really pessimistic about this game all of a sudden. :/ It's probably the same old story. Barebones base game, overpriced "expansions" with minimal content, and bugs bugs bugs, everywhere.

I am so excited for the Sims 4; while I might not have enough money to buy it at the time of its release, I'll have it within the release month and I'm so excited! I've loved The Sims since I had a Gamecube when I was little. Though, I seem to spend more time making sims and building houses than actually playing the game.
