The recipe Merengue is actually based on(plus the recipe🍓)

Hey guys I’m Lew and I do a lot of baking since it’s my passion! I was curious for a while what merengue was actually based upon (since her name is merengue and her hair looks like a merengue but she also has a strawberry horn) since she’s one of my favorite villagers! I was looking through my recipe book today to find out what I needed to add to my grocery list and what I was going to bake this week and stumbled upon a recipe I didn’t recall seeing before. It’s very clear this is what merengue was based upon since the strawberry is her horn, the merengue is here hair, and the pink cake is her skin. I didn’t know if others knew this too but if you weren’t sure like me then here you go! Also I provided the recipe in the picture below if anyone would like to try to make it! I know I’m going to! Wow, this looks good! I’ll probably attempt to make this as I love strawberry desserts. I do have mixed feelings, though, about eating this. Thank you for sharing.

I'm conflicted. Merengue is on my island because she shares her birthday with my wife, but I loathe strawberries. I'd probably like them if the seeds weren't stuck on the outside, but until then, nope.

Have you thought about removing the seeds? It might be a bit time consuming if your using a lot though

Haha it isn’t! Once my friend came over and we baked in the middle of the night because we both had a craving for muffins

Mini toasted strawberry shortcake is cute though I'm gonna have to let merengue go and this helps cause I was connected to her because of lemon merengue pie.. I put her in a yellow dress and it helps but oh well hopefully I can trade her If anyones interested I'll let u know when she goes....
