The 'proper' way to reset?

I'm thinking of resetting my town, and it is probably going to happen. I was just wondering what you think is the proper way, either:

1) Getting rid of everything and starting fresh
2) Getting someone else to look after your money/belongings

I personally think they are both ok, but I'm leaning towards 1 purely because I'd feel a little bit like I was cheating otherwise, but nevertheless it's your own decision.

If I were to reset, I would sorta do both... I'd get someone else to look after un-orderable DLCs, maybe a million bells or so, some stuff I really want, and possibly some dreamies :3

So basically, some things, but not everything. If that makes sense :3

That sounds like a good way to do it!
