Yes. The Monster Hunter series is one of the biggest games in Japan right now. It's also fairly popular here in North America. As of now, most of the games in the series can be played on the PSP. Monster Hunter 3 was released in Japan on August 1, 2009, and it sold 500,000 copies in the first two days alone. Famitsu, a popular and respected Japanese gaming magazine also gave it a 40/40, making Monster Hunter 3 the 11th game to receive a perfect score.

Monster Hunter 3 supports Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, where 4 players can meet and team up to beat a certain monster. Monster Hunter 3 Online has a monthly subscription fee, where 800 Wii Points will land you 30 days of online, 1500 Wii Points will get you 60 days of online and 2000 Wii Points will award you with 90 days of online. But don't worry, your purchase comes with a 20-day trial for online play. Also, the online portion is optional, as you can beat the main game without it. Further more Monster Hunter Online does not support Friend Codes, and only support text chats via USB keyboard. The game is planned to come out early 2010 for both North America and Europe.
