Friend showed this to me.

Bah, I can't believe people are still falling for this.
There is a Zelda Wii game in the works, but "the valley of the flood" is a hoax, a fake.
Fans (and fan sites) tend to think it is a good idea to go ahead and make up "exclusives" in the form of "fake information". Zelda Deluge, aka Valley of the Flood, wasn't an April Fool's hoax, but rather a poorly conceived rumor that one fan made up in the time leading up to E3 2008.

I dunno. There is news on E3 that this is the 2nd game where we don't control ]No. Zelda Wii will be revealed at E3 10, but it will not have guns, and you will control Link, this is confirmed, it will use Wii motion plus for accurate sword combat.

Here's some artwork of Zelda Wii:<div class='spoiler_toggle'>Zelda Wii Artwork from E3 09</div><div class="spoiler" style="display:none;">

Here's some more information regarding Zelda Wii:

At a round-table at the E3 2009 Convention, Shigeru Miyamoto announced that Zelda Wii will be announced at E3 in 2010. Artwork shown at the round-table has been leaked, depicting a swordless, but right-handed ]____________________________________________________________________
I'm not sure where your getting your information from, but all of it is false.

Lol, This is so Fake that The guys who made the moonlanding are jealous (lol btw i believe the moonlanding happened, i just cant think of anything else right now).
The new LOZ has already been talked about in E3 with having swords (not guns...Wtf?!) and you DO play as link (okay, thats just a *censored.3.0*ing basic, I do suppose many veteran players complain that you only ever play as 'proper' link once (in the very first) as the games seem to go in different directions with different timelines and such).
All because someone posts something in a forum DOESNT mean its instantly true, else i would say:
IN THE NEXT ZELDA YOU PLAY AS ZELDA AND SAVE LINK FTW!!!
Although i do hold a firm Belief that LOZ will progress itself into a time more in tune with an Late Renaissance, with a Gunpowder based weapon and the buildings/clothing ETC reflecting this (FYI i see the current LOZ games being a VERY early Renaissance age) Or even one set just on the brink of the 19th Century.
^^
Quick edit: The Train as we see in Spirit Tracks is one which looks like something we would see typically in early 1900s and late 1800s. This would mean that Gunpowder based weapons (musket, Revolver, rifles) would replace Swords/Spears Etc. Yet we see none of this? I know its a game but i wish they would keep to conventional Time lines a bit....plus wheelchairs were invented during this time as well....Kinda off no?

I did put 'I know its a game'
Please read, i just prefer that tinsy bit of Reality into a game, and this sorta spoils it for me (hence i didnt buy ST, i bought Resident Evil Darklight Chronicles instead!)

I think it would be cool if the next Zelda game did take place in a modern world. I think it would be a nice change for the series.

You can't have a good fantasy story in modern times, how would that even work out for Zelda? A futuristic Zelda could work, but not modern. Also, you didn't buy ST because it's not realistic? This is Zelda ffs, there have been robots, a bazooka, a camera, and neon lights in past games, and the series has alot to do with magic and faries.

FF isn't modern. It's a mixture of everything.

I agree with Dustin. You just can't have a modern Zelda (which is why I'm having such a hard time coming up with idea for my Zelda movie). I don't see a completely futuristic Zelda working, either... Hyrule is Hyrule. It isn't Earth. If you had to pick an Earth era to associate it with, it would be in the medieval times. But Hyrule is not Earth, so you can't really compare the two. Hylians may not have advanced technology like we do today, but, as Dustin said, they do have photographs, trains, etc. I think Zelda games are right where they need to be. No modern- or future-Earth Zelda games... No.

Not in Zelda, no... Perhaps a new franchise similar to Zelda, but not Zelda itself.

Nah, it'd be called the Master Beam. And the motorcycle would be named Epona.

The Master Beam? Sounds sexy~

But then you'd need an explanation as to how the Master Sword became the Master Beam, and I don't see any possibility of that ever happening, at least not from Nintendo. Plus, then the game would just be a ripoff of Star Wars and Shadow the Hedgehog. =p
