Yes, we are part of the MissingNo. Explorers. Our job is to investigate as much as we can on the matter of MissingNo. and his other glitchy friends from R/B/Y. How did Missingno. come to be? What is his purpose in Red, Blue, and Yellow? All of these questions are being answered, because that is our job, to get those questions answered. If anyone wants to help me with this, please PM me. We will be needing all the help we can get as we venture into the mystery of MissingNo...

Stuff has been put up, continuing further research.

<big><big><big>Who is MissingNo.? </big></big></big><big><big>
Basically, MissingNo. (missing number), or 'ketsuban' in Japanese, is one of the various glitch Pokemon in R/B/Y. There are several ways to run into this glitch Pokemon, and his cousin, 'M. They are both notoriously known for enabling the Item Glitch (increases a person's item in the 6th slot).

<big><big><big>How Do I Get It?</big></big></big><big><big>
This is the known way to encounter MissingNo. in Red and Blue.
1) Go to Viridian City and talk to the man that's had his coffee.
2) He'll ask if you're in a hurry. Say 'NO'. The normal battle procedure will begin, except the OLD MAN will demonstrate how to catch the Weedle.
3) After that's through, FLY to CINNABAR ISLAND.
4) Go to the eastern most part of the island. Begin SURFing along the side of the island.

The way that you will know that you are about to encounter MissingNo. or 'M is if the screen is pure black for 5 seconds prior to the battle scene. The only damage will be done to your Hall Of Fame upon encountering it. Just try not to catch it, unless you would like to see the effects of catching it, that is.

<big><big><big>The Many Forms Of 'M</big>
There are three different forms of 'M: the Kabutops fossil 'M, the Aerodactyl Fossil M', and the glitchy 'M (correct me if there are more). Each are encountered depending upon the 3rd, 5th, and 7th letters in your name. More info will come on what letters will affect which 'M you will encounter.

Well, the only thing that I know that tha article didnt state was that MissingNo. stands for Missing Number. Which means that it was originally a Pokemon code that got scraped, but they never removed it from the game.

Well, that is obviously pointed out with the name. It was originally going to be Mew, but then GameFreak decided to scrap it from the game... But there are still ways to get Mew.

I was looking at those, and I don't get what It means by a "special stat of 21"

Edit: uhg.. I just found my pokemon blue, to find that it says My sisters name on it in SILVER PERMANENT permanent MARKER and my file was erased to some piece of crap file with 3 pokemon and NO badges :|

That stinks ZeldaFreak. Well apprantly if you trade MissingNo to Pokemon Stadium it will turn into a Ditto.

You mean Pokemon Cloning? There was no Item Multiplying glitch.

Yeah, you could clone items that way too, only if the Pokemon's holding it.

I heard that if you breed 2 Pokemon and give them 2 different items that you want cloned that the egg will have one of them. I think it was some scam someone made.

Nope, Egg Pokemon can't hold items what they're hatching.
