The Japanese Animal Crossing: New Leaf Strategy Guide Question

Hello. So I've gotten the American strategy guide the same day I got the game on launch day. I was so disappointed when the book didn't have images of the villagers, public works projects, house upgrades, and the different customization options for the exterior of your house. The guide left out some information, like getting a perfect town, for example. Plus, there were also some mistakes! I've heard people say the Japanese guide for New Leaf is so much better. I can't really read Japanese sentences, but I know hiragana and katakana, and I can identify very little kanji. But which guide is better, though? There's the perfect one, I think that's what it's called, and then another one that has the same art on the box. Also, if I buy it, will I still be able to enjoy it even though I can't really read it?

I know quite a bit of Kanji. And you got Prima? That guide is like chewed up information. I have a whole list of kanji. What I do is watch The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya subbed opening. It has all the kanji PLUS english translation PLUS romaji. What I do is write the kanji on my iPad, put romaji in as well, and then the translation. I read it everyday. Try doing this with any Japanese videos you see on the internet. Bouken desho desho! 冒険でしょでしょ！

Thanks for the info! I went to the link, and it seems like the perfect strategy guide is wonderful! I love full color images and artwork! And even though I can't really read Japanese...well, maybe I can learn by trying to read the guide--if I have the money to buy it, that is. At least I know that verbs are always last in Japanese sentences!

Interesting. I checked out a book from my library called Kanji in Mangaland, and it teaches most of the kanji--there are I think 2 or 3 volumes of that series--by giving pictograms and clever sentences as to remembering the kanji. They also show the on'yomi and kun'yomi. I can identify a little kanji now.
