Last night I was playing a trivia game and one of the answers was that Roseanne was the first sitcom to feature a gay wedding. However, this morning, I did some digging and found the actual one was Roc. Roc was a three-season sitcom on Fox, and the main cast were all successful stage actors. This was back in 1991, while the Roseanne gay wedding wasn't until 1995.
I don't mind that at all, a little dash of MSG makes a lot of things taste better I just know that some companies are proudly like "NO MSG" so I was a bit surprised to see it in the ingredient list on Doritos.
I learned that Disney World actually sells cigarettes. They are hidden under the counter away from children. I'm a non-smoker and don't care, but I overheard a conversation at the smoking area and I thought it was interesting.
21% of American adults are functionally illiterate (meaning they struggle with everyday texts) and 54% read below a sixth grade level. This means a little over half of U.S. adults can not read anything more difficult than the Harry Potter books.
TIL that the guy who voiced Mr Crocker also voiced Rocko, the original iteration of Spyro, and the surfer dude from Spongebob (Carlos Alazraqui) hahaha
There is a desert in Europe! It is called the Tabernas Desert and spans 110 square miles (280 square kilometers) in the southeast side of Spain. Creatures like the North African Hedgehog and Ocellated Lizard live in the area.

Japan has their own version of Thanksgiving— Labor Thanksgiving Day. Celebrated annually on November 23rd. It’s about expressing gratitude to workers; kids write and send cards to firefighters, police officers, hospital staff, and the armed forces. Managers praise their employees for their efforts throughout the year.
Gabriel Williams, the actor who played Isaac (the grandma’s elderly boyfriend in Nutty Professor 2), was 88 years old. For some reason I thought the actor was a young guy who was made up to look older. He lived to be 102 years old.
I learned about the eccentric strongman and occasional wrestler The Great Antonio. Apparently once he wrestled Antonio Inoki, who got angry at his performance and just started stomping him the ring.
In addition to feats of strength, Great Antonio also liked singing and wanted to tour with Tiny Tim.
Interestingly, the Wikipedia page only has a pic from when he was young and not the disheveled long-bearded look he was known for. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Antonio
