I like to decorate their houses with furniture they like. For example, I gave Vladimir most of the mad scientist set, Francine has gothic yellow Rococo + Blue stuff, Chrissy has white and pink Lovely set, etc. I do this for every welcome letter too, I try to get them something that matches the style and color they like together. I gave Diana a Merlion as a welcome gift.
I feel accomplished if they like their home! If they put their stuff back in re-tail I just send it back to them by a letter.
I'm not picky about interiors they come with, Vladimir was kind of hard to work with but that's fine. Kody however, I had no idea what to do with. I tried, but I eventually kicked him out for Maple.
Just had a good laugh, because I also have Peggy and she is really such a ditz.^^
Placed a showcase backwards so one part of the room is not visible...
A toilet at the piano... Peggy said to me, she isn't particularly musical, but this indicates the opposite.^^
Seems to be pretty important for her.
I've tried to give them nice furniture that goes with their decor when they ask for it(and sometimes when they don't) But for the most part I've given up; giving them random junk makes them happy, and it's not like I see their houses all that often(they seem to prefer barging in on me now instead lol).
However I am determined to get rid of Muffy's coelacanth. That thing is an eyesore and she won't give it up even after I sent her like, 5 things to potentially replace it.
The only thing I care about is that my villagers don't end up only having fishs and bugs and no other
stuff in their house. I had this problem a while ago and try now to avoid that.
I tried to care in my main town, but when I started it I just gave them whatever they wanted so their houses are horrific. In my other towns I care and I keep a closer watch on what is given to them.
In Hogwarts (main town) it's so bad they have the ugliest furniture and random huge fossils sitting in the middle of their rooms, but oh well! Whatever makes them happy I guess.
It wouldn't be such a problem for me if they didn't litter their entire house with clothes. I haven't checked all of my villager's houses in a while, but I know that Kiki and a few of the others have shirts on display. It's so ugly and stupid. No one decorates their room or any part of their house with shirt stands for A single shirt.
It'd be nice if they could hang the shirts on their wall. Then I wouldn't have so much of a problem with it.
